🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Just love birds and butterflies and gardens. The birds bring me hope and company when lonely. They are always near. Their morning song brings the greatest joy to my soul. Their flight is wondrous, their calls and tending to their young and work in communion - brings me hope, life purpose and joy.

Oh how o wish I could fly ☺

@Former-Member@Adge Did you both hear that the humble magpie won Australian Bird of the Year for 2017? I think that is wonderful. I loves magpies.

I know I'm a bit late to this thread but I am so glad I discovered it this evening! I've loved reading through your posts 🙂 I'm a bird lover too but don't have any of my own. My favourite is the King Parrot. I used to go on holidays in bush as a child and the King Parrot's were so friendly and tame and willing to jump on our arms...it was amazing how much trust they put in us! Maybe because they knew they would get some bird food 😉

I spotted a pair of swallows in my garden yesterday. I was thrilled. Only got a distant look though.

@Bunniekins. I voted for the Sulfur Crested Cockatoo. No surprises there. But I love the Magpie and their unique song.
@Former-Member - my brother feeds the King Parrots from his hand. They are almost tame where he lives in the Yarra Ranges.

@utopia where I used to live was a family of magpies I used to feed them ... I know I shouldn't have but they were very insistant and funny the way they would come up to my window looking for me. Before I left I had weaned them off hand outs.

Hey dear lovely @Former-Member, yes I really love Australian birds. We have some of the most colourful parrots and birdies in the world.
