🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Just love birds and butterflies and gardens. The birds bring me hope and company when lonely. They are always near. Their morning song brings the greatest joy to my soul. Their flight is wondrous, their calls and tending to their young and work in communion - brings me hope, life purpose and joy.

Oh how o wish I could fly ☺

I am alright. My son and I made dinner (lamb & veg soup) today and slurped it up together.

He has gone to bed early. I have a doona on my lap and watching an old anti war movie (1959) called "The Bridge".

Cats asleep in an arm chair.

What are you up to? @Former-Member

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Laying down @Appleblossom, stretching out the back. Dad keeps falli g asleep in his chair in front of the tv. He loves the war movies, saw 'The Bridge' a coupe of times on pay tv. I'm not big on war movies and so didnt sit through it. But did like Hacksaw Ridge
& Tears of the Sun.

Contemplating a much needed shower.

Ran out of eggs & bread today, so also contemplating quick dash to the shop quickly but still on my bed in the dark.
I did my 5-7 'dinner' shift with dad. My rest away from the tv in my room helps me cope.

Your lamb soup together sounds wonderful. You take care Apple
❤

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

I stopped the movie have only watched half of it. I liked it as a B&W and the focus on youthful enthusiasm, but am obviously loathe to sit through the actual war scenes, So I think I might do some music instead.

Good night Bella.

Your picture @Former-Member is a Turquoise Grass Parrot (Neophema Pulchella).

I thought it was, but I looked it up just to make sure.

The Neophema family of parrots are very gentle & somewhat shy birds.

The Burke parrot used to be a Neophema (genus), but they've recently reclassified it as something else (it's own genus)...

A walk in the park, and five galah couples and a family of magpies.

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

I could not agree more. In Seattle, there is a butterfly garden with a double airlock that you can enter with nectar dishes and have butterflies come and land all over you. It is at the Pacific Science Center and it is super cool. In fact, it is my favorite thing about Seattle because overall I am not a fan. Anyways I love going to this place whenever I am up there on business or whatever and just spending half an hour or so surrounded by beautiful tropical butterflies. It really settles my mind and relaxes me.

My present visitor. I can't tell you how wide my eyes opened when I saw this on my fence.
