About bloomin time for a check in @Kurra 😜😘.

Sounds awesome about getting a kelpie pup. Really glad to hear things are ok. Miss you like mad sometimes here. Nearly dragged your Kurra talking to Kura thread up the other day.

Wishing you all the best house hunting and moving.

Re: Trouble !

It's great to catch up with you @Former-Member.
Yes I've already decided on the name for my new pup! Although it's a fairly common name, surprisingly the stud doesn't yet have a dog with her name, so she'll be "stud name Axxxx" as she will be a registered Working Kelpie Council of Australia dog. I'm not sure yet but I may let her have one litter.

Sounds as if you've been doing it tough. Take care lass.

Re: Trouble !

@Kurra That is wonderful news. A new place. A new town. I hope it is a more successful move than you even imagined.

Keep up the positive work you have been doing for yourself. Very inspiring.

Re: Trouble !

Thanks @utopia. Yes it is exciting and I'm hoping I can make the move in early spring. Spring is a time of birth and growth. Could there be any better time to start these last few chapters of my life?

I've realised that retirement could lead to an isolated life as bad as it was when I was very unwell and hiding from the world. I'm now volunteering with 3 different organisations but I need more because I'm managing to read 7 books a week!

It will take me a wee while to catch up with everyone so I know how things are with you atm.

Take care my dear.

Re: Trouble !

Dear @Kurra, so glad you recognise your big changes and the need to go gentle on yourself 👍 I'm listening intently because i am facing the same big changes soon, alone, and have no idea where to begin. I do thank you for sharing. Please keep me tagged in your updates. With your planned pup - I've had kelpies and while very intelligent they are very active dogs who bored easy. I'm wondering if a quieter breed might be better for you 🐶
All the best ❤❤❤

Re: Trouble !

Hey @Kurra always good to see you! It sounds like life is treating you kinder at the moment and for that I am glad for you. A kelpie puppy sounds exciting and is certainly something to look forward to. 🙂 I hope you find the perfect place in a rural setting where you can hang your hat. xx

Re: Trouble !

Hi @Former-Member @Queenie
Thanks for your messages. As you said lapses kelpies can be very active. I've had heelers or kelpies or crosses thereof most of my life. Dog was Cattle dog x Dalmatian and was a fantastic working dog. I also walk my dogs several klms morning and night. This new one when I get her will be trained to assist me - picking up things on the floor; getting mu slippers; carrying the paper home etc. I will also be training her to do sheep work. I've done a lot of that in my life. Most kelpies if given reasonable exercise and plenty of mental stimulation do well as a non working dog. I've also realised that I can get one of those gopher bikes so I can still exercise her if walking becomes problematic.

It's great to hear from you Queenie. I do hope your world is treating you reasonably OK. I'm looking forward to the move but not all the work I'll need to do before the move!!

Luv n Hugzzz to you both. 🎶💕🎶
