Yeah that can happen, but a bad moment can also unexpectedly change into a good one so the night might improve later.

Thank you @Bubbles3 for sharing the pictures of lightning. I find lightning beautiful, even if it is dangerous. I used to go out in thunderstorms to try and catch photos of the lightning. I usually ended up with blurry photos though. I wonder how you can get such great photos like these?
