Please don’t be upset when people are not asking after you. Many people take a day or more away from the forums here and there, or only check in a little bit, so not asking after you is actually respecting your choices and giving you space, particularly with kids to see to as well.

Checking Up happens more frequently with people who live alone, and who are physically weak or injured, because their isolation irl is stronger and more of a danger to them ..... so it’s not personal or overlooking you Hon. It’s hard to do that .... you are a vibrant and creative person who communicates about how you are feeling.

And I LOVE that you went fishing, and that the kids actually caught something .... !!! We have often come back empty-handed which is so disappointing.

Just the cuteness of their little fingers around the fish. I did not even need to see their faces. It was a great idea to give them anonymity by the smileys. I was trawling through old threads to try and find people who had had very few responses. Please dont take non response too personally. In the beginning when I started on the forum things were very slow. Often responses were days or weeks later. The notifications build up over time. It is really fabulous that you got out as a family despite grumble bums happening. It gives the kids good memories and good skills.

I went fishing most with my brother who died 22 years ago. It was only a few times, but left its mark.

Family life is bloody hard @Bubbles3 .. just gotta keep at it.
