I was asked about becoming a Community Guide last year.
I spend time on the forums quite a lot because our situation is one where I can’t do much to change things, or even manage behind the moment, and it’s still a hidden problem. That makes it easier to spend time here amongst forumites who understand that predicament and the mi issues surrounding it, than irl where I am having to maintain a facade, at least for now.
The role of a Community Guide is one of assisting people to find their way around, greeting new members and helping them with queries, participating in forum special interests like Topic Tuesday and Friday Feast .... that sort of thing.
