Re: Taking the plunge

@Appleblossom That must have been extremely hard. There just doesn’t look to be much space in the flats. Having people above, below, and on either side means privacy is nil. I didn’t actually realise there were towers like that in Australia. I feel sad that people have to live like that here. But it’s a roof.

The men in blue presence looks threatening. It’s just too hard to imagine.

Seeing those images must bring back difficult memories. 💞💞💞

Yes, I understand Housing stigma. I am in a Housing flat at the moment. Though it’s a humble abode, it’s like a mansion to what I grew up in. Our furniture was apple boxes, and mattresses on the floor, so I understand a little of those struggling.

It’s never a problem what you or anyone shares here @Appleblossom . Comforting, in an uncomfortable kind of way. 💞💞💞💞

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I thought of you when I heard the news. 💜💜 How hard it would feel going back into lockdown, home schooling, no family visits again. I’m so sorry.

I can understand it feeling not ok. Big hug. 💙💙💙

@Maggie

Hearing you about apple boxes.

This still looks like better construction than I remember from those days.

Privacy issues were compromised for me in so many ways.

A big learning curve to understand what others mean by it.

Take Care Maggie

I have had a mishap, just a silly one, and not going out tonight.

Glad you could laugh @Maggie

I laughed too at the ridiculousness of it.

Times were tough.

I live in a mini mansion now too. Turned the heater on it said 15 degrees. King Kat sitting on me prob for warmth.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Appleblossom I’m glad you had your heater on, I have also.👍👍👍 That’s a plus for both of us.

Yesterday here was cold too, I think we reached our max of 11. King cat knows where the comfort is, my girl does too.

I hope today is good to you Apple. 💞💞💞

@CheerBear Kettle is on. ☕️☕️☕️ If a quiet sit is needed, I’ll be by your side.💞💞

Listening, if you want/need to talk. Understanding this could feel beyond words right now. Big hug. 💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm so sad @Maggie. Everyone I know is so sad too, and scared. With so much of it out there and out of control now, our unwell person is at risk. I had a beautiful chat with well person, for an hour early this morning. One good thing that comes is that stengthening of connection maybe. Going back to very basics. Knowing who and what really matters in life.

Thank you lots for caring and listening. I hope you are OK enough-ish.

🙁❤

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Yes, it’s a big shock, and it is scary. I find myself doing the blaming game.....If America would take this seriously, if the UK etc, not helpful, but grabbing at anything for support, even artificial support.

I’m so pleased you are connecting well person. She must be feeling this deeply too. For sure, it does bring out the important in life that matters.

I have a big sad for other reasons @CheerBear Too raw to talk about yet, but deep sad, big questions, self doubt. It’s hanging onto the known, and reliable , when everything rocks. Even if it’s one person, they are an anchor.

Back to basics. Talking of basics. The garden kicked all my rocket plants out of my front garden. He obviously thought they were weeds, even though kale was growing beside them. I’ve replanted them, hoping they will re established themselves, with a few colourful words for good measure. 😁😁 That should do the trick.

I hope today is as good as it can be for you all. Take care. Baby steps. 💞💞
