Re: Taking the plunge
These were taken pre sanding and before the table top was squared off @Maggie. The top was also in two pieces in this pic. I secured them together yesterday. Still have to secure the x braces too but it's some serious progress and I think it's going to come up nicely. Plus it was really special to make as unwell person spent the whole time with me. I've never done anything like this so I'm pretty happy with it. And I still have both hands even after using a big mitre saw and the circular saw 😁😆

Counsellor listened, as she does well @CheerBear , then said she was two steps ahead of me. 😩😩😩 With the ‘ everyone hates me’ she put her hand up like in class and says, “ I don’t” Just gotta love some people. 😐😐
I need to make room for cleaner @CheerBear , clothes drying etc. 😂😂
’Need’ as in milk for coffee? @CheerBear , or more essentials. Looks like a busy day ahead.
Looking forward to pic. 😍😍

Claning before cleaning. It would be the same here :face_with_rolling_eyes:
I have other need stuff for a special day here this week. It's a funny time of the year for me. I wish I could share more but can't. Grrr to the timing with work though as I can't do two things at once. Looking forward to another few days of it though.
🤞 pics are approved soon. I have more plans now this has worked. Shou sugi ban dining room table with dyed coloured wood. Well person and I have propane and torches on our want list. It's ambitious 😆😂
Have you been crafting or making anything?

@CheerBear Pics are through. OMG, that’s amazing. 😍😍😍👍👍👍👍L shaped. Lots of cutting and measuring . You really are cleaver.
I can imagine unwell person really enjoying @CheerBear . Now I know why you are sore and tired. It does look solid. Once sanded and stained, it will be stunning.

Re: Taking the plunge
I think it’s needing acceptance at this church @CheerBear, for who I am right now, not who I could or might become. I’ve done so much soul searching. I know I have faith, all be it very small and fragile. But am I expecting the impossible? We are from different worlds, I’m from the wrong side of the track, and well out of my league. I realise I don’t understand them either. I don’t know if we can build a bridge big enough, or if they would even want to. Tricky and twisted, as I know I present challenges.
Thankyou for being so kind @CheerBear , you brighten my world also, and have made a big difference to it. But there is never any pressure there. 💜💜
I know Father’s Day is coming, which is tricky. But it sounds like another is there also. I had a wedding anniversary last week. For some reason it was really tricky. I guess many hopes and dreams were smashed , plus more tricky added. Life suck at times.
Yes, I have been painting. I have a stone on craft corner from Saturday. It’s a new kind of one. Needs work, but learning to blend. Very much fun and messy. 😍😍😍

Re: Taking the plunge
That's very powerful, with the acceptance of the you you are now not the you you might become @Maggie. It would be very muddling to wonder if the bridge can ever be big enough. The world in general is slow to build bridges I think so I imagine groups like this one might take even more time and effort. I really hope pastor comes through with some sign or reassurance that it can happen. I am glad you are in my world 💜
Ugh to Fathers Day. That's never a good one here. Big has been researching changing their last name. I am neither encouraging or discouraging, though secretly very OK and then some with the idea. The only thing that made me half excited about the sound of Fathers Day are the tool shop specials that will probably come haha. Wedding anniversary would be very tough. I wonder if the question of whether you might bump into him now you are doing the church thing (I think you mentioned that bubbling) made it a bit more present or tougher this year? 🙁 My biggest tough one is the anniversary of when we left the old life. I don't know if I will ever be OK with that one.
I will have a look at craft corner in a moment. Loooove "fun and messy" 😁❤

Re: Taking the plunge
Honestly @CheerBear, how could anyone ever be ok with how you had to leave your old life. That’s a really tough one to be facing. Big 💞💞💞
I went back to my maiden name as soon as I got divorced. That was liberating I think. Kind of getting rid of the parts I was able to. Like you, I threw my rings in the river, another freeing moment I think, Big is making some huge changes, or looking at making them. All more reminders. Trauma is very complicated.
The fun and messy is part of the clean up before the cleaner @CheerBear 😂😂😂

Re: Taking the plunge
Maiden name sounds very liberating. I wasn't married. I didn't believe in marriage and refused to change my name, a point he refused to budge on allowing. So we never did. It was one of only a small handful of things I put my foot down about. Hard to imagine me not putting my foot down now. It stomps at everything haha. Yep, trauma is super complicated. My crew all live with it and work through it in their own way too.
😆 With the fun and messy needing cleaning before the cleaner! I saw your latest stone - so beautiful 😍 It looks like resin on the top. Stunning! I have seen those kinds of designs on YouTube. I think a Canadian woman makes them? She makes them look a lot easier than they are!
It's lunch making o'clock, then time to start work. It has been lovely catching you properly this morning. I miss this when I am not around.
I hope today has something that feels good in it. Mega ❤ and a huge ☕
