Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @CheerBear
Late and early for me really, and no sleep in between. Nightmares got me again, then too much thinking and worrying.
Oh yeah .. first day of winter .. of course. We have another beautiful warm sunny day predicted here for today. But a cold change from tomorrow.
Really hope the crew are on their best behavior today, thus enabling you to concentrate on work. Pity about the need for a mad dash to servo for milk. PJs, woolly gown and fluffy slippers? 😂
I see some of you have collected my morning coffee dropoff. 💜 @Maggie @Bunniekins @TheVorticon @Faith-and-Hope
Wishing you all a good day.
Sherry 🌸

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear well I have been for my walk which was lovely the seagulls and plovers were out and even the baby egrets were squwarking :D! it is such a lovely time of the day to be out and about. Have another walk into town with son2 to the bank to sort out things which should go okay hopefully if son2 can remain calm through the experience. That is about it hopefully will put on a load and hang it out of washing before it rains.
What has everyone else got planned?:)

Re: Taking the plunge
I kept thinking and wondering what the astronauts and their family's would have been thinking and feeling, especially in the lead up to launch and during launch. Mind blowing to even think about! What a ride. Watching them dock to the International Space Station was also quite incredible.
If you find any recipes or tweak anything yum smelling, please let me know. I plan to make at least one Indian style dinner a week and learn and play with new ingredients, smells, tastes etc. The house always smells awesome when spices are involved 😁
I was feeling very ugh about work last night which was a bit disappointing to have hit sooner than I expected. I think it's just the idea of doing it from home with the crew on top of all the rest to think about and manage. Feeling a bit better about it this morning though. And will feel much better with more coffee 😉
@Former-Member sorry to hear about the nightmares and wonky sleep. Was it anything in particular? You have lots happening and bubbling away. Big love.
@Bunniekins your walk sounds amazing. It's very dark here until quite late in the morning now. No-one and nothing seems to be awake on mornings like this here. I hope your bank trip goes well. Work for me today. That's about it.

Re: Taking the plunge
Nice walk @Bunniekins . It’s a good way to start the day. I hope the bank stuff goes ok.
I have a bit of cleaning and organising to do today. It’s cold and wet here, so good indoor jobs. After that.....not sure. 💚💚

Re: Taking the plunge
Stunning Pea 👍💖
I reckon you will need Zoe to design you a new profile pic soon ... A studious Pea ... a cap and gown for uni grad perhaps? @Bunniekins
Speaking of uni .. I think its official start day today. Is it mostly online? Maybe some uni attendance days?
Hope the bank walk goes to plan, and your washing gets dry. I did a load yesterday.
Sherry 💕

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member yes the pea will have to put on her uni gown and cap soon 😛 .... uni starts 29 of June for me. I dont think at my uni they are doing face to face classes yet due to the virus but I could be wrong. Have a great day Sherry. Stay snug and cosy. xxx

Re: Taking the plunge
Definitely chilled @CheerBear. Warm milk is never a nice taste.
I wonder how the astronaut’s and families feel too @CheerBear risky living. History in the making. It would take courage to do that, both from the astronaut and family. But what a story to tell.
For sure. If I find and good recipes. I was surprised how easy it was. The lingering smell was amazing. But the taste was something else. I’ve not used spices generally. I tried a hot dish years ago. I guess it might have tasted nice had our taste buds not been numb and tears falling down our faces. Obviously overdid something. 😂😂😂😂😂 Stick to the recipe is my motto now.
I think the unknown and unpredictable about work is a tough one. It’s new. Having the Crew to home school is a huge ask as well. I wish you had help with that. It would be a little less pressure. Sometimes things look ok enough in the morning, after wrestling with some tricky brain stuff. You’ve got this. 💙💙💙
@Former-Member By the sound of last night, you and @outlander had some tricky nightmares. I hope the light helps. It does for me. Nights are hard for me. I always have a light on. Something I’m working on, but really wonky stuff. I hope today is a better one, if only in part. 💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge
I feel human-ish again after a shower, doing the dishes and getting some fruit and food ready for the crew today. I managed to last until the IGA opened (in about 2 minutes) to get milk so yay me 😁 That coffee will be good.
Hope you all have a day with good in it. Catch you later ❤
