Re: Taking the plunge

No coffee yet for me thanks @Maggie

I'm not even asleep here at 3am despite taking something to help me sleep!! 😕😕 It's one of those nights

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh @Sans911 not a good start to today.. Any chance of sleep through the day?

How did the brownies go the other day? Only if you want to say. I don’t want to keep you wide awake.

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning everyone 👋

Hugs @Sans911. That's rough 🙁

Thanks for the cuppa @Maggie. It is so cold I don't want to get up and put the kettle on here. I am thinking I must have left a window open because it's icy inside 🤔

How are you this morning? And how was your yesterday?

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm absolutely wide awake @Maggie. Not at all tired. I have nothing on today, so it can be a wipe out day.

The brownies are ok. I probably cooked them a little too long, but I chucked them in the microwave and a bit of cream, and they are fine. I have plenty to share around.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear It’s 4 degrees here and very cold. I’m under the doona, with a quick trot to the kitchen.

I hope it it warms up there soon. 💙💙💙⛄️☃️⛄️☃️❄️❄️❄️

My yesterdsy was interesting. I was doodling with inks and looked out the window to see my pastor heading towards my flat. She’s never done it before, so very unexpected and appreciated, and with tiny yellow roses from her garden. My mind unfortunately headed to my lost kitchen, and my airing clothes in the lounge, first time I’ve ever been thankful for Coronavirus. 😂😂😂

I braved up and offered my mental health book, which was well received. Big doubts in my head now, but that’s normal.

How is your electric head today ? I hope it’s feeling ok enough.

How did we all go at spotlight ?💚💚💚

Re: Taking the plunge

Chucked them in the microwave @Sans911 ??? I have kitchen allergies, so I avoid most kitchen involvement unless necessary.

I’m guessing the microwave softened the brownies, I would never have thought to do that.. I possibly would dunk in coffee. I like the bit of cream, sounds yummy.

Thanks, I’ll share one now.

Its good today is a nothing on day. 💙💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh that's chilly @Maggie. I've just put the big(ger) heater on so it will warm up. It's cold enough that little Rocket cat is lying beside the bar heater. Rocket doesn't usually like heat. Mouse sleeps with as much of her body actually touching the bars as possible - no idea how she hasn't cooked herself! So to see Rocket there too makes me feels less whingey about the cold.

That's so lovely with pastor. Did you have a chat for a while? That's huge with the book and super brave. i am glad it was received well. That's a big thing thing to do 👍😊🎉. And laughing as I have felt the same at times, being thankful people dropping stuff around can't come beyond the door 😆

I took my medication last night (there's my go me for the day) and am feeling a bit better as far as electric head thanks. Felt myself get a bit wound up late last night but stopped it before it got out of hand. I have something big and nerve wracking today to do with work (that's all I'll say there) so keeping anxiety under control is helpful.

We had fun heading out together to Spotlight I think but that's as far as success went really. Very little paint and no resin at Officeworks or anywhere. Annoying. I got my plates though. The crockery here was ex mother in law's and I have hated it for years for the reminder it is. They're smashed up now and funky black ones are there instead 😁 A real treat.

Hows today looking? And for you @Sans911?

Re: Taking the plunge

Your cats are funny @CheerBear . My girl was just about under me in bed last night. So that’s a good indication of how cold it is. My new doona is so warm a comfy.

Just a quick chat at tbe doir @CheerBear . She had others waiting in the car. I hope the book is ok enough. Hard to know sometimes. We are all so different.

Thinking of you with the ‘ big thing’ today @CheerBear 💪💪💪💙💙💙

I have been frustrated with paint choices at spotlight too @CheerBear , I buy online now. Sorry also about the resin. I looked online yesterday , might be a goer. Waiting is hard though.

Nice plack plates. Very modern. Can you mosaic the old ones, or would you rather not. I get it either way.

I hope to find some Success with craft today @CheerBear . Nothing has worked for a few days now. I played with ink and yupo paper yesterdsy, but not happy with results. We’ll see. It will need to warm up some though.

Topup. ☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Lovely to have a cosy doona and a furball in bed @Maggie ❤ It's one of my favourite parts of the colder weather.

Quick chat was good I imagine. Unexpected visitors can throw me a bit so often quicker is better I find. You've said some grrat things about pastor. I hope it will be very OK ❤

A discount code came from where I bought the ultracal and they sell resin so I will look again there maybe. I have to do something worth putting resin on first :face_with_rolling_eyes: I had each of my crew sit down at different stages yesterday to paint their stones which was so lovely 😊 Middle did a lovely silhouette painting which was nice to see as they've been frustrated with their cast on but it didn't seem to bother them with paint 😉 and Little had their first go at dots. I was 😮 at how well they did especially as paint and craft is not their thing. They love maths, measurement, shapes etc so I shouldn't have been so surprised. They got it instantly. Lined up the different sized tools and carefully dotted their way through a very cool one they were proud of. Top dots and all 🎉 I'll put a pic up for a bit (then probably have to take it down). Wish I could show you the excited faces above the hands.

Rocket cat 'helped' Middle. Ended up tipping the palette over 😆 Rocket is Middle's shadow during the day. She will miss thr crew being home when school goes back.

The plates were better off smashed up I think. It was cathartic. The new ones are very funky and were way cheaper than the original price (no way I would have bought them for what they were marked as before becoming clearance). They're a lot more my style than what we had and the crew think they're a bit fancy too 😁

Its frustrating having a run of nothing working 😑 That's where I am at the moment too. What did you do with ink? How's your pain at the moment?
