Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and hi @eth, @Snowie and all.

Thinking of you @Maggie. It's still dark here and has been raining heavily for hours. Lots of puddles around this morning. It's quite peaceful.

I'll leave a coffee and some company if you'd like them but totally OK if quiet is better for you this morning.

❤

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @CheerBear . I have just stepped out of a nice warm shower.

Its Raining here too, so that’s my excuse today. 👍👍👍

Puddles are fun. No chalk today @CheerBear

How are you planning today?

Hi @Snowie @eth @outlander @TheVorticon 👋👋💙💙☕️☕️🐶

Re: Taking the plunge

Hey @Maggie 🙂 Nice warm shower sounds great. Shower is definitely on my to-do today, for all of us here. We've gone full feral 😖

The puddles are awesome but do mean no chalk. Our over-the-top chalk delivery is still a week away anyway. When do you think your inks might be with you?

I have my counsellor this morning. Showers and some cleaning up will happen too. Then more games I think. Everyone found a new game to play yesterday so that will keep us going for at least a little longer.

Big, Middle and my well person are doing something fun in between the other things. Big and Middle have art prompt journals (different ones but both very cool). They're choosing an art prompt, sending a pic to well one, then each working on a journal page with that prompt and sharing it when they're done (sending pics from here to well one). I might even join in with that.

How about you with your day ahead?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I imagine rain doesn’t help confinement at all. I can understand the feral, but it would be hard to deal with. Sending big hugs there.

I haven’t ordered inks yet, still waiting for the eagle to land . Hopefully tomorrow, for now, it’s looking.

Oh, a new game. 👍👍👍

Art prompt journals sound awesome. I really love that school teaches art. It’s really important. Different people learn differently. I got criticised at bible college for teaching students dance. It was such a powerful way to get a message across. I’m not good at lecture type learning. Anyway, getting carried away. 😫😫😫

I have a half painted stone. I will finish.....maybe. Yesterday didn’t really happen, so hopefully today will. 👍👍👍

Re: Taking the plunge

Rain makes the house feel even smaller @Maggie, but also makes it easier to stay inside. The beautiful, sunny autumn days make us want to go out and about. This weather is better for 'stay home'.

Wow to being criticised for teaching dance :face_with_rolling_eyes: I love the way schools teach now and the different things they teach. Our little school has a tricky cohort of kids, the majority of them unable to take in sit down style lessons for very long at all (for lots of reasons). The teachers have to be extra creative and it works 😊

Hope to see your stone when you finish! Regretting not having bought a stone mold now. That would be a great 'stay home' kind of activity.

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning @CheerBear @Maggie @Snowie @outlander @Faith-and-Hope and anyone else passing here today.

@CheerBear your kids' art prompt activities sound lovely to share with well one, who I assume is showing them to unwell one too. Hope your counselling session this morning is a good one. I still haven't heard from my psychologist when she will see me. She must be pretty sick to not even be able to skype from home.

@Maggie cozy morning with it raining sounds nice. No tree-freeing this morning! What will you be using your inks for when you get them?

Missing someone who left the forums yesterday - a lot. Concerned for her but can't do a thing about it.

Hope today is a nice one for you all. Take care and stay kind xx

Re: Taking the plunge

I wish I could send my molds through the screen @CheerBear. I have a candle holder one also. I haven’t tried it yet, but it looks different.

Wow to your little school. Seriously good to know. Extra creative is challenging, but I agree, it works, and very well.

Yes, I get it about the rain and inside. The past autumn days here have been so beautiful. I haven’t seen any fallen leaves yet. A bit early.

My baby is chewing on a pigs ear. One of her favourite pass times. I’m not allowed anywhere near it. Lol.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hugs @eth. It's really, really hard to not have the usual supports or outlets in place that help us. It is tricky to find the balance between not getting sucked in to news but staying informed. I'm a bit of a sucker for reading too much news. I don't have social media anymore but have found myself enjoying reading twitter stuff (a little too much really!). More hugs. I hear you and see how much effort you're putting in to doing all you can to manage this tough time.

@Maggie how great would it be to be able to share art and craft supplies! It would be way more economical too.

I love autumn colours and am looking forward to that happening.

❤ furbaby 😊 I have the littlest kid and littlest cat in my room with me at the moment. The littlest cat is doing what she does and being utterly bonkers 😆. The other three humans and two cats are still sleeping. No routine and little sense of time anymore. So strange!

I'm heading out for a bit to find motivation to shower :face_with_rolling_eyes:😳

❤ to all

Re: Taking the plunge

@eth Yes, missing the person also. Concerning, but we can still send our wishes. She might be reading in the background, and return with a different name.

The inks are just playing really @eth . I put up two posts in the craft corner, you might like to have a look. It’s simple, but effective. Craft is therapy for me. Blocks some of my overactive thoughts.

I think so many will be feeling the same as you do. Missing the routine and people supports. It’s tough on many many levels.

I hope your stir fry and noodles taste good tonight.

I didn’t get to the tree freeing yesterday. It was, or should I say, I was a blob.

I hope the strong coffee doesn’t have too negative an effect @eth. Take care today. 💙💙💙💙
