Re: Taking the plunge
I had a very full on day yesterday, the only easy part of it was meeting Mr parents. Lots of "hugs and lovely to meet you's". Mr ducked away at one point and both told me of their relief at him leaving the toxic relationship and their happiness with his current happiness. I really enjoyed their company, his Dad and I have a similar sense of humor by the feel of it. It was good.
The rest of the day, both before and after, was a huge challenge. It included a call from the school while we were at lunch as Little was involved in a fight. They fought back so there was a consequence for them (which he needs). The other kid has been suspended. It felt big and full of 'where am I going wrong' stuff, particularly after the issues we had at training the night before. Mr and I had tricky conversations. My psych appt was intense (with a warning about watching where I'm at). I'm still sick which isn't helping (asthma and my medication isn't as effective as usual so I'll have to watch it). It was all ugh.
That's my vent.
Sending my ❤ and thoughts to all for the struggles and challenges. Big sighs x

@CheerBear A complicated day. Strange how the things we think might be the difficult, don’t turn out that way.
He person sounds to have gone through a lot. I think you will help each other . Yea to hugs and sense I’d humour. 👍👍👍
Sorry little is having ( issues) , not sure if it’s the right word. Lots of tricky, thinky stuff @CheerBear . Being sick adds another layer. ( don’t you just hate those layers).
Sigh here @CheerBear . For the complicated, tricky, twisted, dark, with splashes of colour. Even if some days, it only come from boots. 🧜♀️🧜♀️🧜♀️
Sending lots of ❣️❣️❣️

@CheerBear So good to hear that the 'meet the parents' went so well yesterday. Really happy for you both in that regard. And they sound like really nice people as well. Clearly Mr has had a lot of good things to say about you to them. And its nice that he appears to have a good relationship with his parents and is able to talk to them. Definitely a plus. Not sure what to say about Little, certainly a worry for you. But he is only little and I feel sure will get himself back on track. He has you, after all ... which is definitely a positive for him. Certainly not a matter of you 'going wrong'. I hope your general health improves soon, as it definitely brings down our MH along with it.
Sherry 💕

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie yes I'm ok today thanks. Just having another morning of feeling like I could easily go back to bed - pretty sure it's from the med I was put on for sleep 3 weeks ago. She told me to give it 6 weeks before deciding whether or not to stay on it. It's a drag as it doesn't keep me asleep at night, just makes me really groggy when I'm awake. It's starting to feel like I'll never have better sleep patterns. Still having around 6 - 8 short sleeps overnight which is just not restful tho it adds up to what should be enough, I rarely get a complete 'sleep cycle' - that's enough moaning from me!
Hoping today is a lighter colour for you and you find some pleasant moments in it.
Hearing you @CheerBear about worries re little fish. Hopefully a stage that will not last long. I know you are a good example to them and hope they can listen and learn from you.
Feeling for you @Former-Member and hoping you have peace today. Some rest and that your headache fades soon.
xx to all ![]()

@Former-Member I've just read around and realised today is a big and tough one, then saw you had some hiccups. Sending you lots of love and thoughts today. Keep keeping on Sherry ❤
Thanks @eth ❤ Is there a parenting stage that isn't hard :face_with_rolling_eyes:?! Hope the day has good in it for you

Re: Taking the plunge
My world is difficult today @CheerBear . All sorts of weird and not wonderful reasons for it.
Ive wondered about little. For what it’s worth. Maybe more happened on the soccer field the other night than was obvious @CheerBear. Maybe things have been happening elsewhere. Bullying, to name the big one. I know it took me a long time to realise I was being bullied, and I’m an adult. It might be irrelevant, and it might just be how I’m feeling today. So please dismiss it if I’m swinging off the moon.
I’ve done a bit of painting. Colour is wonderful, on black life canvas. Happy camper here. 😄😄😄

@eth I’ve tried sleep meds with the same results as you are having. I was unable to function. Awake, but not quite. Not sleeping either.
I get very little sleep, but I can rest, unless my mind is in overdrive. That is often, unfortunately.
I hope you find something helpful. Sleep is important for many reasons.
Lots of these ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Re: Taking the plunge
Not irrelevant at all and I appreciate your perspective. I've flagged it as a possibility also. Little is quite physically little and has been targeted for that. They've reacted with big words, trying to puff themselves up, act tough etc. and now it seems a bit of "if you can't beat them join them" might be happening too 😔. One plus side is that it highlighted things aren't great and school will help hopefully.
Ooh so good to hear you've got some colour happening 😊🎨 I have only a Big with me after leaving two with my people for the night. Big has a party that needs a mum taxi later but for we're watching random YouTube stuff. It's quiet and chill 🙏

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear The other kid might be having a tough time at home, then taking it out on someone smaller. Chain reaction stuff. Hopefully help will be offered and counseling.
I can understand the “ if you can’t beat em, join em” thinking. But the fact little stood up for themselves is positive, in a twisted kind of way. A learning curve. But at least it wasn’t just tolerated. You are a great mum. Don’t doubt that. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m just confused and becoming more confused with church stuff. I don’t know if it’s me, my past, or that I’m just scared. It might be all of them. I feel too broken, dirty and ugly to be there. Their broken doesn’t look like my broken.
Random utube stuff 👍👍👍👍 chill is what you need atm.💜💜💜
