Re: Taking the plunge

It's the other sibling @Maggie, the one I'm less close with. Sib that lives here recently separated from their fiance (I never remember how to spell that word). Sad for them.

Puppy was very cautious of the cats and realised she had entered cat land quite quickly yesterday. It was so funny! She's big (a big lab) and it was little Rocket cat that showed her her place in our house 😆 Rocket oozes confidence and attitude which I love. I didn't leave them out together last night but had them under close supervision for a couple of hours before we left. I think knowing she was in enemy territory calmed puppy down. She's very subdued (for her). As far as I can see there isn't a thing out of place.

Well done to you on getting out to get the tests done. I can imagine how difficult that would have been for a couple of reasons, one being the fight between whether to even bother anymore. Super tough to do, to wait and to keep going 🙁

Did you speak with counsellor about the article?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Rocket cat sounds awesome. They certainly can communicate and claim their territory. I guess that’s one really good way to train a puppy. 👍👍

Yes it was a push out the door yesterday. I’m feeling over everything atm.

Counsellor and I did talk about the article. We will go ahead and write it. There are no guarantees it will go to print after submission, but it’s worth a try. We also talked about the bushfires, the sadness everyone is feeling. Then we talked about those of us who suffer with other loss, through no fault of our own. The forgotten. I feel guilty feeling it, and writing it, but it’s fact also.

Re: Taking the plunge

Wish you could meet Rocket cat @Maggie (and Mouse and Noodle and Pudding puppy and the Little crew...) as I wish I could meet furbaby. They're all awesome (I know furbaby is even without meeting her) 😊

I'm so glad you wrote it. It's real and important. Our pain and suffering is no less because others are in pain and suffering too, though I get how guilty feelings can happen.

I hope you find writing the article helpful. It's an act of resistance and hopefully an empowering and maybe even healing in a way, one.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear My baby is asleep on my pillow atm. She sleeps there. I twist myself around her. I get a kiss sometimes in the middle of the night.

I imagine your family, human and fur, the fun, struggle.

Its strange where shame and guilt come from. I feel both for feeling what I do. But my heart aches for the fire victims, the animals and our land.

The article will be empowering, hopefully another light, pointing the pain and struggle many are going through, because of negligence.

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and thanks for the ☕ Yesterday was good to me thanks. Quiet and chill, a new crochet project, house number 2 again to see interstate family 🙂

How about you? How was your yesterday and how are you going today?

Re: Taking the plunge

A new crochet project @CheerBear. Does that mean the other is finished???

I hope ‘ fine and normal’ are not too hard to manage at house 2 with extra people. Tricky.

I’m trying to keep out of my own way atm @CheerBear . Barely hanging on, but doing it anyway. No particular reason, just whatever I think.

I made some cauliflower soup yesterday, so I managed to dismantle my kitchen in the process. I have some in my freezer now.

I swear my fur baby smiled at me yesterday @CheerBear. It was a moment to stop you in your tracks. A touch of magic in the dark.

Re: Taking the plunge

Sorry @Maggie. People and puppy up 🙂

I finished the C2C dragon blanket for Little and have now started a new CAL. Its called "Rozeta" and it's based on gothic windows. Seriously cool. Tapestry crochet which I had no idea was a thing but I had some practice at carrying yarn with the dragon blanket. So far it's looking pretty cool I think but I haven't done much.

I'm sorry you're barely hanging on 🙁 That's a sucky place for sure. Lots of reasons but none in particular makes sense. Its like a big blur or jumble sometimes.

Cauliflower soup sounds awesome. I love cauliflower 🙂 Loved your moment with furbaby too. So special ❤ They're the kinds of moments that to me are rewards for hanging on.

How's today looking for you?

Morning @Former-Member ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning @CheerBear 😃 Your dragon blanket finished already. The new CAL (no idea what that is?) based on gothic windows sounds really cool too. I hope to see something on the Craft thread when you're ready to show it off.

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh yum @Maggie ... I love caulifower too. Anything cauliflower is good as far as I'm concerned .... cooked, raw, mourney, souped, curried. One of the most versatile veges there are. Awww Maggie ... your furbaby is delightful ... a touch of magic indeed. So sorry you're still in a dark place. Oh what we wouldnt do for those special furbaby moments.
