I’m not surprised you’ve got a lot done @Former-Member . 💙💙

You must be over drs appointments I think, though no choice, unfortunately.

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Former-Member. Sounds busy for you. Nice to hear that you enjoyed lunch yesterday ❤

Lots of birds where I am @Maggie. I have one wandering close at the moment. How has your week been? Counsellor today?

Re: Taking the plunge

Yes @CheerBear counsellor today.

My week has had some busy kind of moments. Kind of friend got bitten by a white tailed spider. So first it was drs appointments, then A&E, then an operation.

I looked after her little dog, and communicated with her friend. Dramatic. ⚡️⚡️💥

But she’s home now, so it’s recuperating now. 👍👍👍👍

Sounds nicewhere you are @CheerBear . Will you get time to rest? Do they have arranged meeting, or can you please yourself? I hope it’s the latter. Are there lots of other people ????? Questions. 😁😁😁😁

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh wow @Maggie. That's awful and sounds scary. She's lucky you are her kind of friend and could look after her furbaby. Do your dogs get along? How's that dark cloud looking? Is it lingering, passing, consuming...

I will have time to rest here but also structured and supported time to get back in to it all. Its recovery focused and very person centred. I can leave and stay home here and there as needed (soon, not yet) and they have lots of things like art, cooking, outings, groups etc which I'll be expected to particpate in to an extent except they also know a break from all of that can be helpful too. Beautiful building with a homely environment and a group of <10. Big kitchen I can play in but also make meals with everyone (which is part of this too) which means I'll have to eat which is an issue I need sorting out at the moment. My room is comfy and cosy with my own bathroom, a big sunny window and can be dim if I'd like. I didn't feel like socialising last night but did anyway which turned out nicely. We got uber eats sundaes from maccas at 11 😁 Someone I clicked really well with last time is also here so we had hugs and some tears when we saw each other. We'll make scones together when I have a bit more energy. I'm so glad I'm here 😊

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear It sounds so lovely. I’m so pleased you are there. Super pleased clicked with person is there to share hugs tears and scones etc.

Take it slowly @CheerBear as you can cope with. If you need time out, take it. You’ve been in hell for some time now, getting out takes some navigating.

My dark cloud lingers @CheerBear . But I’m not a stranger to this place. It’s never a familiar comforting feeling, always that, stranger/familiar uncomfortable feeling. 💚💚

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @Maggie 😊❤ So thankful I have the chance to time out here. And I'm really proud that I did what I needed to do to get here. It took a lot to let the guard down, a lot to trust when everything was screaming not to, and a lot of leaps of faith etc. And a lot of my supports banding together too. It's helped heal some very hard, very painful experiences with MH services. We need change Maggie and this has shown me it can change. There's hope in that I think.

I hear you with the uncomfortable feeling. Living under dark clouds for a long time becomes a kind of normal though never an easy normal. I wish I could whisk you away somewhere less cloudy for a bit. Somewhere there are scones and birds and a never ending supply of milo.

I'm heading to the shower (one that is an actual, comfortable, warm shower with a shower head instead of a prison style lukewarm, can't trust the psych patients with taps style one 😉) then off to med the psychiatrist (and will continue to play nicely because apparently that works better - who would have thought 😆).

So happy to have caught you this morning. Thanks for being you ❤

Mega oodles of ❤💙💚🖤☕

@Maggie @CheerBear @Former-Member @outlander @Gazza75

For all of you getting into the really fiddly but exciting work of producing beautiful art - good on all of you for that - what you have all put up is excellent and I wish I had the courage to get into it too but I know my hand/eye coordination isn't good

But I have a small collection of sea-worn glass and I know people use that for art work - and I have been wondering for years what to do about it - because I love it

It would be good to go down to the beach more often - it seems to wash up on the nearest beach - that's where I have collected most of it - and it is pretty

Thanks Gazza - I do seem to have my energy back this morning - taking things easy can be a good way of finding it

And Outlander - you have been experiencing a lot of really difficult events lately - and you are doing artwork - that's excellent

And whoever it was who wanders from one room to the next looking for the coffee they are holding in their hand - I have done something like that - I was in a hotel room and searched through my luggage looking for my phone - with a plane to catch as well - and I couldn't find it - but guess where it was - not in my hand but really close - I had packed it first - in my pocket - egad - I was flustered but yes - I caught my plane

It's Friday everyone - time for my Friday owls

Dec

Have the best Friday possible everyone
