Re: Taking the plunge

Morning everyone 👋

@Maggie - two more sleeps for you. Wondering how you're doing with it all this morning, if you feel like sharing. Monday is going to be so big for you. Crackers how you can wait so long for things then it seems everything happens at once😏☕💜

@TheVorticon great to hear your game came yesterday 😁. It is so pretty! I oohed and ahhed over it all but didn't really notice the details like posters -there's so much to see! I'll have to pay more attention. I hope you enjoyed it last night (and enjoy it today, tomorrow etc).

Waving a hi to everyone who might come by. Hope the morning starts well enough for all ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

About to head for a second also @Maggie. Slow start which is good 🙂

Definitely games today and probably pjs 😁 All 5 of us are looking forward to it I think (I'm seriously looking forward to it!). So much fun to escape with and share with each other.

How's your day looking today?

Re: Taking the plunge

Not sure what happened but I did a refresh thingie @CheerBear . Maybe the air waves have moments 😬😬

I cant believe Monday either. The two who are moving me are only charging for petrol, so it’s a huge favour from them, so the timing is secondary.

I’m an unbelievable mess 😊😊 So pleased I can dissociate, it’s the only coping mechanism left.

Ha Ha another daylight saving crossover day @CheerBear posting at the same time.

I was hoping you would continue today. It sounds soooo goood. Something you really really need atm. 👍👍💜💜☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Funny crossing over posts this morning @Maggie 😊

Unbelievable mess is very understandable. I'm learning how to be not scared of dissociation when it happens (not often for me but sometimes and sometimes quite scary feeling) and to see it as a way of getting through. It sounds like you've reached that place where you can use it in a way that's helpful for you maybe. Like an off switch perhaps (I could be way off here though!).

I'm shaking my head at the way things work sometimes and the way those two big things have collided.

One selfish question - will you have internet connected? Will have to have imagination coffee for a while if not!

Re: Taking the plunge

I think dissociation and DID are companions @CheerBear. I learnt very early, so I’m really good at it, not in a skiting way, more a coping way. Yes, definitely a switch thing, and set on off. Brain is amazing eh. If I sound a bit ‘off’, it’s the switch. 😬😬

I have mobile data, nbn has been too expensive. A few mths back, my old iPad ( 10 yrs old) became obsolete and out off connections. I went looking for a cheap phone and net. I very young person, ( looked 15 to me ) said the way to go is a ‘plan’. I came out with a new iPad and ‘plan’ and 35 gbs for $35 per month. I know there’s a catch somewhere, but, I needed it, different to wanting it. Worked for me. 😊😊👍👍

Re: Taking the plunge

Brain is super amazing @Maggie ❤ I try and go to 'curiosity' when something that's happening inside feels off or scary or unsettling, but it isn't always easy to do. Learning how to use coping mechanisms in ways that help - that's wise.

Yay for mobile data! Personally I'm stoked to hear 😉😆 We are chewing through internet now and will probably look into different plan soon. Reliable internet here is need not want too.

Pitter patter of feet asking for toast so I better go. Thinking of you lots and often 💜
