Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @CheerBear and hi again @Maggie hope you don't mind me following your conversations - I miss the days that used to start with similar chats, especially with @Mazarita . Somehow I just don't seem to come on the forums at the same time as many others these days.

CheerBear hope you have a smooth morning getting organised and make it to your 9am appointment.

Really unfair what you are each dealing with re tenancy issues - hoping you've both involved the tenant's union, they are good at helping have your rights and needs met.

Have a good day y'all xoxo

Definitely don't mind you or anyone following the conversation and/or joining in @eth ❤

Thanks for your thoughts. I have tenants union support and an offer of advocacy if needed 🙂

Hope there was some peace and comfort in your difficult day yesterday and that today has started well for you.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @CheerBear really glad to hear you have people involved who've got your back.

Yesterday went better than anticipated and I actually came away from my driving lesson feeling a glimmer of hope - as compared to feeling overwhelmed and holding back tears the first time. And water tai chi followed that which always benefits me on every level.

Hope your appointment goes well this morning. My day is starting peacefully. All I have on for sure is my psychologist with my sw this afternoon, but lots of 'could do' things if I get motivated in the meanwhile.

Re: Taking the plunge

So good to hear yesterday was OK sounding @eth. Well done with the driving lesson and feeling some hope. Your hard work and determination will pay off.

Also glad to hear your day is starting peacefully. Hope the psych appointment is helpful.

I arrived on time, exactly. Touch screen, ticket kind of check-in and I looked at the time I checked in - 9:00:00am 😁 It's the second time in a row I've checked in at exactly the time as my appointment to the second. Small things 😉

I'm feeling a bit nervous, hoping my GP understands the medication muddle I've had. I think she will but banana head is asking me all kinds of what-ifs as I sit here waiting :face_with_rolling_eyes:😏😑

@CheerBear I know how easy it is to mix up meds at times - I've done it before myself. Hopefully your doctor will understand too. Well done with your check in time!

Thanks for your encouragement too xoxo

@eth It’s always lovely to have you join in our past midnight chats. 😁😁

I’m glad to hear yesterday went well for you also, it was a tricky start.

@CheerBear I lol reading, avoidance, distracted, dark and twisted etc, I soo get that.

I’m impressed you arrived on time with all the getting the crew ready plus. Hoping you are doing ok after the meeting, and Drs app.

Sending these to you both, 💜💕💜💕☕️☕️☕️I’m heading out for a bit, my eyes are crossed with + Stitch stuff. 😩😩

Re: Taking the plunge

I just sent off the documents I needed to the landlord which can trigger the tribunal process if they're not actioned properly (which I don't expect they will be). I'm all in now and because of that I'll also start working on some communication to head office about the Agent's inappropriate response to this whole saga including their suggestion tenants should wait 24 hours before seeing to a gas leak.

I'm semi :pile_of_poo:ing myself but feel better for taking a stand, even with the risk in doing so. I haaaaate the powerless, walked all over, intimidated feels and this gets rid of them a bit.

Just wanted to share while I'm on a bit of a flip out high haha 🙂💪💪:face_with_rolling_eyes:😁

Hope there has been some good in your day @Maggie, @eth and all ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I can feel the mixed feels in all of this. Power versus powerlessness, or thats how THEY want us to feel.

Speak though your voice shakes, a very powerful and profound statement I’m trying to practice,

Flipout high, you did it and well done. It’s all we can do to keep ourselves safe, though I know it doesn’t feel safe looking at potential lease signing or not. Safety is about respect, as well as a roof. It has little or nothing to do with money, ( I think ). I’ve never had enough to prove that. 🤔🤔

I’m proud of you. 💕 I hope you are proud of you. 💪💪💪💪

My turn is coming. :pile_of_poo::pile_of_poo::pile_of_poo::pile_of_poo:

@Former-Member 😊🙂👍💪❤

@Maggie so much liked "speak though your voice shakes". So powerful ❤. You are so right - safety is also about respect.

I am feeling proud and kind of strong right now, thanks😊

Did you hear any housing news (I'm thinking not but wanted to check)? How are you holding up with the waiting and the packing (if you didn't hear)?
