Re: Taking the plunge

Panic is so understandable @Maggie. So not OK for that stuff to happen that causes the distress. You've done so well holding on and getting here. I hope there's a change for you really soon.

Meetings like yours today and mine on Monday, where the avoidance cap has to come off are really hard. Confronting, anxiety causing, brain melting... Again hoping it goes OK for you.

They decided to come here (home) for mine on Monday because I'm a banana and get so worked up over things like this. It's double edged as I get to have lots with me that is helpful (if wear my boots no matter how hot it is on Monday 😆) but I'm super protective of everything from the front gate, which can trigger some hostility in me (I don't like that word but it's the harsh truth). Any threat in this house of any kind can send my world into a spin, lioness and her den kind style. I'll have my support coordinator with me who has been good at jumping in before I roar. I'll talk with him about it again today, and about what would be helpful.

I better fly. I have some work due in a couple of hours that I haven't done yet, and lunches to see to. Will be thinking of you, hoping very much today is helpful. Garden boots 😊🌳💚

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning to you all @Maggie @CheerBear @outlander

Thinking of you today Outlander, for your procedure ... hoping it all goes well. Maggie ... another meeting ... Urgh. You'll be fine, so pleased you have your lovely counsellor to help. Cheerbear ... love the chalk drawing. Thinking of you for your upcoming meeting on Monday too. I presume you have topped up on coffee since you ran out yesterday?

Still a thick smoke haze here today. And I note that Sydney are complaining about their air quality today as well, as a result of the all the smoke from fires. I heard them say much of it is coming from way up here at our local fires, though there are many fires around the state. Smoke travels far and wide.

Holly and I are dog sitting for a few days while our neighbour goes away for a family wedding. Holly and Charlie get along well, though Holly gets a bit impatient with him sometimes, and lets him know who's boss. Charlie is a nice little dog, and is really no trouble. He is a similar breed to Holly, but larger. This is who Holly has been staying with when we went away. So its a little playdate and sleepover for them. Cute! Other than that I dont have a lot on for the next 3 days, except grocery shopping at some stage.

Have a good day everyone.

Sherry 💜

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Banana sounds about right here too.

Protective from the front gate in is so alright, and lioness ready to roar, hearing you loud and clear. I was ready to roar down the phone yesterday, as it was question time until the very end, when she told me why. So glad it was the phone, as my facial expressions were, ( what now). 😩😩

Thinking of you as time draws near. I’ve just had some chocolate, a dead give away stress is brewing, or brewed. 💕💕💕

@Former-Member I’ve seen some pics of smoke covered Sydney, awful. It must be much worse where you are. A sleep over for Holly, how cute. I hope it’s some fun time for you. 🐶🐶

Your Marilyn Monroe diamond painting might be on the go, 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Back to it for me. Sending 💕💜💕💜☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Nice to see you @Former-Member 🙂 Lovely to have a playdate and sleepover ❤️ How does it feel to not have a lot on for the next few days? Hope it's OK for you.

Hey @eth. Also nice to see you 🙂 Hope the day is coming along well for you.

Wondering how you went with your meeting @Maggie and hoping it's been alright enough, ish (or better but get that may be a stretch). Listening if you're up for a share.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Just finished. I must admit, it went much better than I expected. 😁😁They now meet to discusss my case and weather I get a package deal or not. Possibly 10 mth wait.👍👍

More chocolate, one of those days.☕️☕️

How did your go, if you would like to share, listening. 🤔🤔

Warm here already. Summer isn’t my favourite season, but nothing I can do there.🌞🌞

@eth Thanks so much. Will catch up on the rave later.

Hope today has good it for you. 💜💜💜☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

So glad it went better than expected @Maggie. A huge go you for getting through it all. Waiting is hard and that's a long wait. Chocolate for those days is helpful 🙂 Not sure if you get this with things like that but I think I'd be a bit crashed for a while after the appointment.

My meeting went ok-ish thanks. There is some tricky but he (support coordinator) handles it well which softens the blow. He read what he has written is wrong with me to go with the other docs I have collected from my supports. That always sucks. Focusing on the bad never feels good and some of the bad is very confronting to read from the people I trust who support me the best. Support coord said it could help to write a thing about what it is like to be me when me isn't doing well, though that could be hard to do safely. Trying to work out that balance between risk and reward again - theme of life I think!

It's warm here today too. On the back of really warm last night I'm a bit over it. Kids don't like it, I'm grumpy, Rocket kitten isn't coping at all (which is semi concerning but I don't think I can fix it). This in spring has me not looking forward to summer much.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I hope to catch this afternoon if I can. I’m exhausted, and when I finally say it, I really am. 😩😩

I get the comforting stuff. When I asked for the L. I. S. T. And give it, I feel like an absolute loser, even on my scales, scary stuff. I don’t mention DID now, can’t face those questioning looks and queries. CPTSD is going ok ish, they get it a bit. Risk and reward regarding health @CheerBear a very sad reality.

I’m going to crash for a while. I do grumpy well in the heat also. Hope rocket cat is ok. Might be too warm under the lemon tree today. Here’s to long hot summers. 😩😩
