Re: Taking the plunge

Could happily stay in bed today sounds like yesterday could have been challenging @CheerBear.

I painted a stone for @outlander Yesterday, a good distraction.

Today is tidying again, before I can do anything else.

Do you want to talk about yesterday?? ☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Yesterday was mostly really tiring I guess, or I was really tired yesterday and it caught up with me overnight @Maggie. There was a bit of icy happening at the first meeting but it was OK and ran smoothly so maybe something got through the day before. New support person didn't show up for the next meeting but my support coordinator did. He's a good listener and he makes me laugh heaps, so it worked out well in the end.

I think I'm just really tired. Super low, fairly high, big crash kind of thing maybe.

I read you were looking at dping a stone for @outlander. Love that 😊 I'll head over to craft corner later and have a wander. Glad it was a good distraction. It sounds like you've been doing a bit of crafty stuff the last couple of days. Any yarn happening?

Tidying for me too today.

Re: Taking the plunge

Yes, the mixing stuff messes with my head @CheerBear a bit of this, a bit of that doesn’t look or sound too bad, but put it together, and wham, it’s a bigger picture. Not everyone sees the bigger picture. Some see what they want to, not reality. That’s my take on how it happens with me.

I have a meeting tomorrow with an assessment person. Looking at a package plan. My counsellor will be here, so much appreciate her for these things. I don’t do meet and greet well at all. And sitting on a volcano, hoping not to explode with the wrong person, feels a bit uneasy.

No yarn lately. Any time for yarn today for you. 🧶🧶

Morning @Faith-and-Hope 💕

You see the big picture @Maggie and that feels good ❤ Maybe yarn tomorrow for me. Today is all about house inspection clean in time for early plumber in the morning and house inspection in the afternoon tomorrow.

Big wow with tomorrow's meeting. How long have you known this was happening? That has giant 'big' written on it to me. I don't do assessment anything well ever, and would feel uneasy (and then some) too. It's really good you will have your counsellor with you. What kind of package plan is it for, if you can and would like to share?

Re: Taking the plunge

A stressful few days ahead for you @CheerBear . I soooo hope this is the end to hot water problems for you. 🤞🤞🤞

House inspections are so hard. It’s having someone in my space that I haven’t chosen to be there. It’s always clean, and untidy. The untidy is largely due to lack of space and cupboards, that’s my excuse anyway. 😁😁😁

The package deal is to look at what I need help with. Interesting how they will assesss that, possibly communication. But I don’t have faith in anything or anyone atm, so I’m feeling negative before it happens. A good start.

We had someone come a few weeks ago, encouraging us to get ‘ a plan’. 😩😩

Re: Taking the plunge

I can totally understand feeling negative before you even start today @Maggie. Those experiences of not being heard or cared about or having basic needs understood, make it hard to trust things like this might be helpful. In some ways it kind of helps me to know that it's OK to be like that for things like assessments, though there are flip sides to it all of course. Tricky and big.

I have my NDIS review in just over 2 weeks. Assessments and someone holding the power to make decisions about what I need support with. It fries me and I can feel very shaky through the processes and as it gets closer. I hope that there are some things in your day today that help settle any frying or shaking you might be feeling.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I wonder if they have any idea of the stress that mounts up behind all these, supposedly ‘ normal ‘ meetings.

House inspection, Plummer, assessments. Like you put it so well......holding the power.. and deciding what our needs are.

A tidying day will be good for me today. It will be on my mind, but cleaning helps.

I hope today has some good moments for you @CheerBear i hope a bit of rest, but understandable, that’s a big as with tomorrow looming. Lots of these 💜💜💜 I’m off to find the grass police. 😁😁👮‍♂️👮‍♂️

Re: Taking the plunge

Wishing you both well for the demands of the day ahead @Maggie @CheerBear ....

. think I am going to do the unthinkable, and roll over and go back to sleep for a while. I have nowhere I need to be and I am feeling sleepy again after a 4am start.
