Re: Taking the plunge
Kettles on @CheerBear if you are up for a cuppa. I’m thinking today is your extra gig day, but not sure.
I’m guessing from all your travelling yesterday that you are super tired, and might manage a sleep in if this is your night alone.
Whatever today holds for you, I hope there’s some good, or even lots of good, weaving through the clouds. 💕💜💕💜☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
Such a lovely message to read this morning, thanks @Maggie 😊 Today is the extra day at my gig. I'm looking forward to it. Sleep in would have been great but Rocket kitten woke me up this morning.
How are you going this morning and how was your yesterday?

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear I have an appointment on Thursday with a politician. I was given his name on Friday and sent an email, expecting to be ignored, as I have been in the past. Instead I have an actual meeting. I haven’t done a face to face, so I’m big time stressed about it.
The gig today will be a good break from all the bigs in your life atm.
Roket kitten, lol. My girl like breakfast at 4 am. 😁😁😁 who’s training who.
Yesterday was ok thanks, but glad it’s done for the week.

4am fur ball wake ups 😁😖😑:face_with_rolling_eyes: Little Rocket is very cat like (funny that!). She has no problem at all standing on me, kneading on my belly right where my bladder is, walking on my face, headbutting me, but I pick her up to cuddle and she looks at me with a big "ew" before walking away 😆
I'm heading over to craft corner to check out the answer to a question I had about your crochet project that gave me a smile all evening!

Re: Taking the plunge
Oh @CheerBear my girl does all of that also. Runs up and down my whole body, sits on my face, licks me. I drag her under the doona and we have play time there. So lovely to have.
I hope something positive will come from the meeting. But housing is so tightly locked up.
My counsellors partner at the rooms might be able to come with me, but won’t kniw til I get a time to see if she’s available. I hope so.
Theres a big part of me that’s angry about so much of this. I feel like I’m becoming someone I’m not, just to get heard. I’ve never been, and never want to be, a demanding person. At times my stress levels are at breaking point, mainly because I just don’t know what else to do. All I’m asking for is affordable housing.
I’m heading for a second cuppa, need a top up??☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
I hear you with not liking the person are needing to be to be heard. I can be someone I'd prefer not to be also, especially when it comes to something giant like housing. I don't think it's a reflection of you except for of your strength and determination. I think it's a reflection of the system and the shocking way it deals with (or doesn't deal with) people who need it. I can imagine how yuck this would be feeling though if being demanding isn't something you've ever wanted to do. I look back on some of the things I've said and done in bananas situations like this feel sad I was ever in a situation that pushed me to it.
The stress is huge and I'm so sorry you're in this situation. You're asking for something essential that all of us deserve 🙁 I wish I could fight this fight alongside you.
Yes please to the cuppa top up.

Re: Taking the plunge
You are fighting this alongside me @CheerBear . By listening, hearing and caring. I appreciate that more than you will ever know. Especially with so much going on in your own life. Big time here with you in that, when I can. 💜💕
@CheerBear I see, hear and know people, who are riding the system, and appear to be rewarded for doing that. Loud takers. I often ask why. But it’s the demanding people who get heard. I see why now. A very sad reflection on our shocking system.
Its not that I’m Strong nor determined, I just can’t afford to live here, if I could, I would at least try to accept some of the not so good things. @CheerBear You can’t even fart without the whole complex knowing. 😁😁😁😩😩 Way toooooo close for me. So it’s more than the cost, it’s pretty much everything.
Anyway......moving right along.......I hope your gig is good. I have a feeling it might be.
Do you go back.....later today....to your second home.?

Re: Taking the plunge
I'm stoked I get to do an extra day today. I feel like a sponge in that place, constantly learning and picking things up. Just being around there feels so good for so many reasons. I am looking forward to it times two this week 🙂
I think I might stay at our first home today which is super exciting. I didn't get home until about 10 last night so I could hopefully stay here tonight. It means an afternoon and evening to myself which is a huge bonus. My people are having a good run and are encouraging me to stay here, so unless things go belly up, that's what I'll do 🙂 I am thinking about starting Sophie again thid afternoon after having a go with you the other day 🤔 It might be a nice thing to have to pick up and put down. We dotted yesterday, the three of us (well person, unwell person and me). We've never done something like that together and it was so, sooo nice to share that time with each other. We're better people for having that calm 💗

Re: Taking the plunge
Big warm feels for you today @CheerBear this sounds like something you’ve needed for a long time.
Also the dotting. So amazing how simple things can mean so much and make a big difference.
I’ll be sitting with you and Sophie this afternoon, and if you feel like sharing, look forward to seeing how it grows.
I will have to head to the shower, as fur baby needs a tree visit, and I need to avoid people. 😁😁😁😁
💕💕💕💕💕💕 for today. Might catch you later.☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️Thanks.
