Re: Taking the plunge

It was OK @Maggie. It's the early morning wake up thing that got me today. I've been like this for ages. Sometimes it's annoying. I know sleep is a tricky one for you too and you get it.

How are you.going this morning?

Re: Taking the plunge

Yes @CheerBear sleep is a tricky thing for me, but I don’t have LF and the others bigs you are facing. I can relax when you have to up and go. 💕💜💕

Today is a bit busy here. My kind of friend is going to a funeral with her friend, so I’m looking after Moodle, their lovely dog. She’s no problem and gets on well with my girl. Then there’s a choir here this afternoon, which I’m trying to find Dutch courage and masks to attend. Lots of people will be there, so even the thought is scary. I might push through it, I might not. 😩😩😩

Re: Taking the plunge

That's a lovely friend thing to do @Maggie 😊 Wow and big with choir! Even contemplating going is huge and worth recognising ❤ Is choir/this choir something you've wanted to do or been thinking of doing for a while, or is it one of those 'just happened' sort of things? Hmmm also curious as to whether it's you singing or watching choir kind of thing?

@CheerBear Just sitting watching. It’s being with people......I have people phobia big time.

My singing has been from the back of the room lol......I teach or have taugh kids dance, then hide and sing down the back. I get thingey about being looked at. I’m a case and a half, but have to work with what I’ve got. 😩😩😩😩

Have you got your gig today @CheerBear ?

Re: Taking the plunge

People phobia makes things hard @Maggie. I see how much you try and put yourself in and around people and how much of that you actually do. I can appreciate how difficult that is and have big go you feelings every time you do something with others. What you've got might make things hard for you but it's a pretty great you.

@CheerBear You are such a compassionate person. You hear so much not said or written, and always on track. Thankyou. 💕💜💕

Re: Taking the plunge

I do have my gig today @Maggie, thanks for remembering 😊 I'm looking forward to it for all the reasons I usually do. On top of that, I've been reading and researching something (a trauma related something specific to the group of people we work with) that's given me a bit more understanding and maybe some confidence with it 🤞. There were lightbulb moments if nothing else - always a good thing 🙂

Thank you for your super kind words Maggie. I feel very much the same about you 💗

Re: Taking the plunge

Sounds good @CheerBear . Lightbulb moments. I think having personal experience goes such a long way.

I’ve often asked my counsellor where all the wisdom I’m supposed to have is. I seem to have more unanswered questions than wisdom. But the other day I saw something that made me think. Knowing yourself is the beginning of wisdom. It made my think ALOT. And I wonder, but I’m not sure, if knowing yourself, accepting the good, bad and indifferent, helps me accept others, and there in lies wisdom. Any thoughts?
