Re: Taking the plunge
I can stay with you for a while @Former-Member , but will need to disappear later. You know I am with you in spirit and thoughts all the time though .. Dont you? As are many others here. Please never feel alone, just think of us all sitting there with you.

Im still here @Former-Member
Is it such a big deal for your career to be over? Many people have a change of career, sometimes more, in their lives. Perhaps you can try something new.

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Former-Member
As @Zoe7 and @Former-Member have reminded, you most definitely have the support of people here. Apart from connecting on the forums – I wonder what the things that help you to steady yourself when you're experiencing distress? Some people like to keep a list of these things available to remind themselves at times when things seem overwhelming. Maybe this is something that you do already.

Re: Taking the plunge
You may feel like your career has gone @Former-Member but that does not mean that everything is gone. Sometimes we have to open up new doors and close others behind us - that is life. It is never easy to do - and we grieve for what we once had - but what is to come may be just as good or even better. I would not have believed that I could land in the place I am now after all I went through last year at that old school - I really had very little hope that I could get back to teaching again ...even after beginning at a new school this year. ....but it did happen so do not close that door just yet - anything is possible.

Perhaps too messed up at this exact moment in time @Former-Member . But this will pass, nothing stays the same for long. You can turn things around. I know you can

@Former-Member I have to head out to the chemist and then into work to feed and water the hermit crabs. I will check in with you when I get back Hon. Others are still here with you so you are not alone ![]()
