Re: Taking the plunge
@Maggie The assembly went really well. The kids were wonderful ...so confident and organised ...they actually exceeded my expectations
They were all so excited about presenting their facts and pompom animals and even more excited that they finally got to take them home. I have photographs of them all so we have a record of what they have done. Glad to be home but a lot to do this weekend. On a positive note - tomorrow is supposed to be clear so can get outside and begin the cutting for the birdhouses. Hope you have had an okay day. Much love and hugs for you ![]()
@Former-Member It is just really good seeing your here Hon. I fully understand your reluctance to go to hospital and also be medicated. There are so many different meds out there though - it took 2 years and many different meds for me and my team to find the right ones and combinations so I get how frustrating it is. So many have side effects for many of us that feel even worse than what we are going through.
Here supporting you with all your decisions Hon and sitting with you when you need ![]()
Hi @CheerBear @Teej @Gazza75 and all passing through ![]()

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @CheerBear not a bad day, some grocery shopping and short walk with the dogs and a friend. Too cold for more!
My ‘ Fine ‘ keeps me safe. Strange concept there I know, but it’s something my counsellor mentioned. At first I thought it was strange, but having thought some of it through, yes, there’s definitely a ‘ Safe’ in there. One thing I’m finding also is how invisible I am. Another childhood skill, not so helpful these days though. A difficult one to overcome I’m finding.
Vulnerability is a scary place for me, if I go there that is. Total fine-ness, and yes, I offer the shoulder to lean on a lot, appearing strong, until I close my door, then the mask comes off and reality hits.
We are complicated people. Trauma turns things upside down and then some.
Dying parent @CheerBear a really difficult place.
It really didn’t come across muddled at all.
I hope tonight is ok, maybe some dotting for you?

@Zoe7 So good to hear your day went so well. You and the kids deserve it, you have worked vvery hard.
So now it’s preparing for birdhouses. That will be fun also, but it sounds like another weekend of preparation.
I hope somewhere you get some time off to relax. Lots of these for you. 💜💕💜💞💞

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks for your support and encouragement this week @Maggie It has been priceless Hon
I am going to take a little time to myself. Planning on doing a little organising and housework tonight then settle in on the couch under the doona in front of the tv - with Toby snuggled in next to me of course 🐶
How is little Mags? I bet she is like Toby and just wants to go out to the toilet and then straight back inside out of the cold.

Re: Taking the plunge
@Zoe7 Lol, that’s exactly the picture, out then in. It’s cold down here, and in your area.
Take good care tonight. I hope something good is on tv worth watching.
Mags is tucked in beside me, electric blanket, nice and cosy.
Thanks for all your support also @Zoe7 💕💜💕☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
You always have my support Hon - even when I am not here with you I do think about you. It has been so lovely seeing your support of others here lately and even better that you are around again - you make such a difference with your kind, considerate and caring posts - a true indication of the lovely person you are @Maggie ![]()
I have a few things recorded from earlier in the week and then there is a series on ABC I have been watching. The usual Friday night footy game is of little interest to me tonight but I know our @Former-Member would be interested as her team is playing.
Looking forward to spending some time with Toby too as he has been a bit neglected this week. No doubt he will follow me around while I get things done so have to be careful not to trip over him lol
