Re: Taking the plunge

Thankyou so much for your messages. It was lovely to wake and read them.

@Maggie @CheerBear @Zoe7 @Snowie @Faith-and-Hope

It’s lovely to be included. Sometimes I might just reply a small reply, but I always appreciate a message.

No obligations though. 🌺🌼

Thankyou. 😘

I wrote a bit about how daughter and I are going, in above messages, Cheerbear. No obligation to read though. Just not up to writing it again. Hope that’s ok.

Might feel like saying more about it another time. Super stressful time for so long now, my body isn’t liking it.

I know now how much you’re all struggling, so I appreciate your thoughts.

Its raining here again.

Not that I mind. Anything is better than extreme heat and humidity.

I must say, I’m so grateful that my daughter is brave and a fighter. I always tell her, keep moving forward. She does. The moving forward goes too fast sometimes, it’s overwhelming. But she doesn’t give up.

As for me, I try really hard to move forward, but don’t seem to get anywhere.

I’d love to just get away for a few days, but arranging it causes me too much stress.

Stuck in a muddle of stress.

Take care and always do something nice for yourself each day.

Even if it’s just a cuppa and some relaxing time.

Speaking of cuppa. I’m going to have my second strong coffee now. Maybe some Nutella on a spoon, lol.

☕️🍰☕️🍰☕️🍰☕️🍰☕️🍰

I’m happy to be able to get my snuggle gown and snuggle blanket out Cheerbear.

Our house is colder inside than out.

I try to find some cuddle time in each day with Toby @Former-Member - he is such a snuggler so it isn't hard lol just having him next to me most days helps me get through - I would be totally lost without him

Both you and your daughter are filled with strength - her to keep moving forward and you for supporting her along the way - don't underestimate just how important that is Bella - you are amazing

Re: Taking the plunge

Aww! Thanks @Zoe ❤️

I guess I do use alot of energy to support and encourage my daughter. I put my “all” into it.

Sometimes I think, oh my gosh. I can’t be a mum anymore. But there’s no choice.

I try my best to not think about diagnosis etc etc.... it doesn’t seem real, to be honest. So I pretend it’s not real. So does daughter.

Im so glad you have Toby.

I miss having a pet, but couldn’t cope with having one. It devastated me losing our last cat. I don’t ever want to go through that again.

Have thought of fostering a companion pup, but it’s just a thought. Too many things going on. But training a companion pup would be great.

Sorry if you’re getting extra emails because of my editing. 😮

I hate spelling mistakes. 😂🤔😩

Re: Taking the plunge

It often takes us more energy to look after ourselves than it does to look after others @Former-Member - maybe that is because for some of us deep down it is too hard and if we try to unravel all the things we are feeling we will find it too much - so to counteract that we shut ourselves down and work on helping others instead - we can't always 'fix' things but we can help ease their pain a little. What we often see as empathy is also I believe a sense of self preservation - we do what is 'easier' to cope ourselves.

I think having a companion puppy to train sounds like a great idea - I couldn't train a puppy - I would want to play too much lol and so would Toby

Re: Taking the plunge

I find it satisfying somehow, to know that I’m helping my daughter get through. It’s so hard watching her go through “stuff”. I feel every emotion she feels.

Especially with guys. I find it sooo difficult seeing her struggles with guys. When they hurt her, it’s like they’re hurting me. I think it’s from all the SA I’ve had. I do get over board and have to try and be sensible. Easier said than done.

I’ll be on and off here. Daughter home. Need to sort things. 💜🌷🌸

Re: Taking the plunge

I understand you wanting to protect your daughter as much as you can @Former-Member - especially considering your own history

I am going to log off for a while myself - needing to lie down for a while before my appointment - can't sit with the pain but I can have pain meds after the appointment when I have driven home.

Take care of yourself today... I will leave you with these to get later...

Thankyou @Zoe 💜

the flowers are beautiful. 😘

I read that you’re in pain. Sorry to hear.

Have you injured yourself or is it stress related/fibromyalgia or???

you can reply on your thread, if that’s easier for you, but only when and if you feel up to it.
