No @Shaz51, I'm not driving them around, I'm helping them with technology and handyman stuff, but they are becoming dependant on me. It is making me really stressed

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I have one other bit of homework to do. When I'm feeling a 'bit off' / 'not right' - I have to look into it and work out if I'm Angry Stressed or Anxious - because the initial feelings are the same. And then work out why I'm stressed or angry or anxious. Not much fun. Will be hard at first, but I know I did this exercise last year and it helped.

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning @Maggie,

I thought I would swing past here and let you know how much I super appreciate your appearances on the ocean. I know you fret sometimes that you don't know what to say, and I want you to know that I enjoy hearing everything you have to say. I also superly duperly like pictures.

Over these past few horrendous weeks, I've discovered a new tool for my toolkit of ways to cope with super giant feelings. @CheerBearand @Former-Member have been helping me find cool stories to "read" and now I have a whole youtube playlist of them. I have wondered a few times whether this might be a tool that you may find helpful? If so, I would be very happy to share my list with you.

Good morning @utopia@Maggie@Phoenix_Rising@Shaz51@Jacques@Bunniekins@outlander and all

@utopia - the homework sounds helpful - I could imagine it would be difficult to do whilst in the midst of those emotions as I can relate that sometimes they can overwhelm and thinking clearly is harder. But writing them down and working out why I could imagine would be valuable in dealing with the triggers better helping to prevent feeling that way or learning to cope with those emotions better? Sounds interesting. Please let me know how it goes. Hope your day goes well.

@Phoenix_Rising - those stories sound interesting also....might be worth a look

@Maggie - I got the time wrong for hubby's injection. It's at 1:00pm. So I will be at the shop while he gets it! He checked he would be okay to drive the short distance back. Then I have to pick up my daughter for her docs appt as she has been quite ill. So it will be a day I will be happy to see over.

I loved the pic of your marshmallow plant - what a beautiful colour flower, hot pink/magenta. I have a hibiscus plant with similar looking flowers. Very pretty and seems to be coping with the heat well. Glad to read your temps are dropping - early 20s temps are heavenly. We had them for awhile in Nov, Oct but now our temps will continue to soar. It knocks us around, especially hubby. We will be glad when this time next year we will be living on the water and getting that sea breeze.

You would probably be at your appointment today. Hoping it all goes well and thinking of you @Maggie. Sending warm thoughts to you all 🌹
