anxiety after drinking tea

anxiety after drinking tea

I had an attack that went for a couple of minutes after having lunch and drinking Twinings tea...

Ginger and Apple....

I had sweaty hands and feet and I didn't want to get out of the chair for a few minutes.....

Does it have much caffeine?

Does Cadbury Drinking Chocolate have much caffeine?

I drink water most of the time...no soft drinks or juice

Re: anxiety after drinking tea

Hi @jamesle2015,

That sounds like a nasty expererience. Definitely, not how you want to feel after drinking a cup of tea! Not wanting to oversell myself, but have you considered switchining to Chamomile ;)? Sorry, jks!

To answer your question, it doesnt have too much caffeine in it, too my knowledge. It is possible that you were alergic to some ingredient in the tea. But I wonder what else might have been going on for you before the anxiety attack? Sometimes low grade anxiety can hum away in the background and then suddenly escalate, seemingly without reason.

@Former-Member started a great thread about anxiety some time back...

Re: anxiety after drinking tea

Ginger can have a nasty effect sometimes it makes me get upset in the stomach.
Any Chocolate drink has a fair bit of caffeine in it, same as tea, & coffee drink them in moderation.
Sounds like to me you has a fast heart beat & negative thoughts, the ginger may have upset your stomach?
Stick to water nice cool water not too cold. Listen to some relaxation music, see your doctor & have a blood pressure test.
Eat plenty of fresh green leafy vegies & keep off too much meats & preservatives. I don't eat meat, & I drink green tea with honey, & lots of fresh water daily. A bowl of whole oats with what ever fresh fruit & soy milk daily will build your nervous system up & help keep your cholesterol come down.
Passion Flower tea is very calming & it has no caffeine in it.
Hope I have helped you? @jamesle2015

Bye 4 Now!
Bella 🙂

Re: anxiety after drinking tea

Ya dear @jamesie, my psychiatrist told me not to srink too much tea, as it can increase the blood pressure too.
I drink the Taylor's of Harrogate ' Yorkshire tea' and it's really good.@Chamomile, chamomile is relaxing too. A good drop. .

Re: anxiety after drinking tea

I want to get some opinions on the following - not related to drinking tea 🙂

Person A is over 35 years of age, married and has a child about 9 months old. He lives about 20 minutes drive from his Mother - who is independent and retired. Person A complains to Mother that the child makes too much noise and it is hard to concentrate. Person A keeps visiting Mother every few days

to do work - for a few hours in the afternoon - so Mother's house is like another office where Person A

can make business calls. Mother's house has one other individual adult living with her.

Person A had been a troublemaker and caused Mother a lot of stress as Person A is that type of

person who socialises with strange and dodgy people.

What do you think of Person A? Is this sort of thing acceptable?

Opinions please.....
