The Community Garden :)

The Community Garden :)

Being outside and enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers that are about is definitely something that's keeping me going at the moment, so I thought it might be nice to grow our own garden here where we can all enjoy it.

Please add any pictures, links, chats about anything you're enjoying in your garden, have found on a walk, wish you had in your garden etc. Or just enjoy wandering around 🙂

Bromiliads feed and drink from the centre. They do well if there is a resovour of water in the middle. Then they flower frequently. Because of this water they are a mosquito problem. They have exotic flowers.

@Teej

You can use a brush to paint on weed killer around the base of your terracotta pots. That way you don't get spray on other plants.

Succulent cuttings in mini terracotta pots finished off with decorative pebbles make a lovely little gift which is budget friendly.

Thanks @Former-Member for the brush info. 😊👍🏻

Those little terracotta pots are very cute.

Hello fellow gardeners, virtual and IRL.

I woke early this morning to a rain storm - proper soaking rain, which we really needed.

I thought our garden here might appreciate some too.

Great to hear you had some needed rain @frog! Love listening to rain 🙂

And yay for strawberries @Maggie 😊

I posted these in another thread but will share them here too. Photos from some interesting flowers I found on a walk yesterday.

It felt so good to take some time out in a garden that I went for another walk later to stop and smell the roses 😉😊

So lovely 🌸🌼💗

Oh @Maggie, those roses are simply gorgeous, as are all the flowers. The fifth pic down, looks like a 'double delight' rose. I do particularly like those. We have one in our garden here too. You obviously have some beautiful gardens where you are. I am so pleased, as I expect daZi would be too. Are you allowed to dig in and do some gardening when you wish to? As in is it a community garden, or is it fully maintained by official gardeners?

Oh yummy ... just spotted the strawberry! Is that growing on your own balcony? Hope so, otherwise I reckon you'd have lost it before now. I'm glad you are growing something you can eat, as well as flowers which can be admired for their beauty and fragrances.

Thanks for sharing.
