The Community Garden :)

The Community Garden :)

Being outside and enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers that are about is definitely something that's keeping me going at the moment, so I thought it might be nice to grow our own garden here where we can all enjoy it.

Please add any pictures, links, chats about anything you're enjoying in your garden, have found on a walk, wish you had in your garden etc. Or just enjoy wandering around 🙂

Re: The Community Garden :)

Amazing @Bunniekins stunningly mind boggling.

@Shaz51 there's the images of @Former-Member's orchids - I could not recall where I'd seen them! They are so geogeous Enigma.

Something ate my seedlings overnight, and knocked one of the pots over completely to scratch and get the germinating seeds. They did not touch the ripe red chilli although they ate the heads off all the peas, beans and corn seedlings!

Gahh. There is naught to be done because of tiny space and sunlight issues, so I'll put the experiment down to 'failed' and move onto other things. I still have my herbs and a few flower seedlings in another area so hopefully they will still survive.

Happy garden wishes to everyone.

Re: The Community Garden :)

Thanks for the thoughts @Shaz51 and @Bunniekins. I was thinking possum, but also there was a large amount of scat on the outside pathway that did not look like possum droppings. Maybe a cat that got stuck inside the walled area, or both cat and possum scaring each other.

I looked out around the 4am mark with a torch because of all the noise but couldn't see anything. I know there can not be humans in that area unless they are superpowered as the fences are just too, too high and other stuff as well, so was aware of safety stuff before heading out.

Something that can climb and scrabble noisily and pulled large leafy twigs of trees and make a mess of plants. sigh.

Re: The Community Garden :)

Helooo @Shaz51 and to @CheerBear @Jojo2 @SunShower @frog long time no see.

Thanks for the tag Shaz. My garden is going well, it is a bot messy at the moment as huge life changes taking place. I have so many cuttings that have struck and are growing to pot up and about 15 bulbs to plant, but have been waiting for the weather to cool. I popped the bulbs (mostly hyacinth) into the fridge veggie crisper three weeks ago - but the weather has been unseasonably warm... I reckon mid next week will be the ime to plant (and bonus new moon on the wednesday).

Here's a pic of a little bit of my garden from last week .... (I added the arabic word for peace to send to a friend who lives in Saudi).
