Being outside and enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers that are about is definitely something that's keeping me going at the moment, so I thought it might be nice to grow our own garden here where we can all enjoy it.
Please add any pictures, links, chats about anything you're enjoying in your garden, have found on a walk, wish you had in your garden etc. Or just enjoy wandering around 🙂
hello @ArraDreaming , I added some photos of my garden on these pages and @tyme was asking how your garden is growing xx

Re: The Community Garden :)
Hi everyone. Got lonely.
Finished this a couple of days ago: both raised beds have been removed, the area has been mowed as close to the ground as my little mower could manage, then I sprayed quick acting fertiliser, spread some dirt, then newspaper and cardboard thickly, then covered with coarse tanbark. It was a lot of work. I still need to clean the raised beds and replace them on top; I’m going to line them with plastic as an extra layer of protection against the dreaded Kikuyu

Hi @Shaz51
my garden tends to more resemble weeds and plants that are more on the yellow to brown side lol.
some succulents are thriving though, this town seems to suit them very well

This is great!! @Shaz51 well done @Former-Member looks fantastic
also just want to remind everyone to start pruning your fruit trees A reminder! pruning can be done on trees of fruit bearing age which is 3 years and older but it is starting to get late you need to do this as soon as possible, people will tell you prune in winter, but it needs to actually be done now, Apricots needs to be done now as this helps reduce gumosis. Gumosis is a disease. the early fruiting trees like stone based fruit your apricots, peaches etc need to be pruned about 3-5 weeks after you have harvested your fruit which for most people is now or has already passed. The reason for this is it allow the trees particularly the peaches to put on some summer/autumn growth that will become your fruit bearing wood in the spring. so, don’t wait until winter, we look at the seasons rather than the names of the seasons and what the weather is doing. As most of these plants originate from places in Europe which here is hotter than yet their winters also colder than ours. so pay attention to where your plants are native to. Because of cold winters and cool spring’s fruit trees are pruned in winter in the north hemisphere in Europe and America, China, etc which is where most of our fruit trees are native to. Get on it!!

What about citrus @ArraDreaming ? Prune them now?
I find that my lemon tree has these little/big 'lumps' along the branches. I was told they are bad and should be cut away? I'm not sure if I'm even explaining it properly...
