I am looking for friends

I am looking for friends

I am a friendly person but social anxiety keeps me from going out where I could meet friends. I have to remedy this situation because I am very lonely. My youngest is 16 and she is hardly ever home. My interests are writing non fiction, writing poetry, Christian writing, loving animals, especially cats and dogs, psychoanalysis, coping skills, ptsd, depression, grief, painting, Belgium. I am 53 and female and divorced. I hope that's not too personal to say!

I do @grubbytoes
I am terribly bad with boundaries. I'm good with getting support but I seem to get myself in almost.... Trouble of this makes sense.
Also I get criticised very easily and to have those boundaries where you write...... That's it sounds really refreshing for me.

Re: I am looking for friends

I have to say that Rejection is a real fear for me. Even though I have so many beautiful people cross my path n still have so many friends I've known for many years. Strong n honest friendships. All of which comes with the risk of rejection. And I have had many many rejections along the way. What keeps me grounded in such risk taking is that although the fear of rejection still remains with me it does not define me. I just won't let it. So I praise each n every one of you for not giving into your stresses anxieties or fears. Because I see in you that you also just won't let it. Don't let the struggle beat you.

t0 tell the truth @MockingJay

I enjoy reading your messages.....I can see that your a risk taker with a big big hint of kindness........after the risk.

Does this ring true for you??

Do you mean in your paragraph that how other people see you does not define you.

It feels like they are missing out on you.

Its a good thing to be different and yourself
