After taking my medication, the anti-psychotic, I have been discharged by the Government Psychiatrist as I've done so remarkably well and in the discharge letter to my GP, my Psychiatrist stated that I'm in remission of mental illness . But it is the medication that keeps me well. I feel so blessed and happy that my medicament has been working well for me. Howevor, there are some triggers that can make me hallucinate and hear my mother's voice in the tape of her verbal abuse and make me acutely unwell again. Recently, I had a text message from my mother that was abusive- she wrote ' Go to hell where you belong' to me after I told her sadly my daughter was taking drugs in her home without her knowing. Just thought she should know. It's important to know your triggers, for me it is contact with my mother and abusive e-mails and texts from her. I'm feeling stable atm and have put healthy boundaries in place to prevent my mother from contacting me. My family Doctor has told me to block her e-mails and calls. And I am at peace again. As it says in the Bible ' Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flows the issues of life.' It's true what we see and hear can affect us and our emotional and mental health. That includes all of us. Change the tv program if it is too violent or brings up issues for you. And refuse to listen to words that don't edify and build you up. In the Bible, scripture tells us to edify and build up other with words. Our words should only be loving like Jesus' words. We should encourage others. As it says in scripture, there is the power of life and death in our tongue and in words. So always try to speak lovingly to others. God bless all.
