Something’s not right

So exhausted

So exhausted

I'm so mentally tired. I've been up for over 24 hours now. Didn't sleep at all and cleaned and organised packing. My anxiety is huge ATM like 80-90 on suds scale. My visit with my sons was cancelled by my ex. I haven't
seen them fir2 months. I need sleep and mental rest but ptsd and mood is crazy. In pushing through one room to go. But tonight in just awake tried all sleep stuff but can't eat lately either. In so tired of ongoing stressors. That I have no control over. I just want to go home to Adelaide where friends and family are. But I can't leave the town cos my sons are here. In trying to breathe but in am so overwhelmed and teary. My dad being away has affected me too. He's in contactable par random email til end of November. Hold on I must but there's only one human can bear before they really break. Share housing again too is also making me anxious it unknown how the group dynamics will be. It's crisis housing so drama will be there and one woman has two kids under 5. They go to kinda lady said but hope the mums ok at being a mum other Wise being a mum and background with children I won't be able to not help. Can't wait to 4 am I've already had six showers this evening. Man this cyber world is hard I feel so detached from everyone but good things are being put in place so while I'm breaking I look at them. I don't draw either ATM and cos I was so broke I sold my guitar. A release for me now I regret that decision. Desperation is not a good place to be. Well that's where Im at. All I desire is a hug and a warm smile from my sons. QLD law and mental health and justice system is so behind S.A. I didn't realise policies for each state are different. So homesick. But can't move without my sons. One day they and me will have justice against the stigma of mental illness and parenting aren't a part of everyday life.

Re: So exhausted

Hi @Gypsy7
I'm so sorry you are not with your kids, i can imagine how much that hurts 😞 and that your visit got cancelled...
I hope that the share housing is ok, hopefully it will be a good environment and supportive. We lived in a shelter for a while and there were some difficulties but it was also supportive too.
Sorry to hear that your dad is away at the moment too, bad timing.. glad you can email him though.
Glad you've only got one room to go but hoping you are able to rest a bit today as well and look after yourself, when is the move?
take care

Re: So exhausted

Hi @Gypsy7

So sorry to hear of the stress you're under at the moment. It sounds really hard.

I spent a little bit of time being moved about in crisis accommodation last year. It wasn't too long thankfully, but it was enough to have some idea of the challenges that can come with it. The stress, anxiety, uncertainty, disruption, worry etc was at times, completely overwhelming and I really didn't know if I'd be able to get through it. It helped me to find anything I could that gave me a sense of comfort, security and familiarity (it still does as I continue to live with these feelings). I'm wondering if you have anything that gives you that sense too? I wish I had found the forum earlier as I can see how helpful it may have been to have it through this time. I hope you can continue to be here through this, and that you find it helpful as well.

At times like you, I have also felt like my MH has been brought into the spotlight in regards to my parenting. Thankfully again, this hasn't been to the extent that I am hearing it may have been for you, but the fear, frustration, heart-ache etc that came/comes with it is so tough as well. I'm so sorry to hear your visit was cancelled with your sons 😞

I get how mental health, housing, financial, legal, parenting, isolation 'stuff' etc can all merge and can feel unbelievably enormous if you look at it all together (which it is so hard not to sometimes). Trying to break it down into smaller chunks, taking little steps forward, and doing whatever I can to look after myself, is about as much as I can do to get through it myself sometimes.

I hope you managed to unwind last night. Wishing you the best for the move and hoping that the people you move in with are a good fit with you.

Thinking of you. Keep fighting.

Re: So exhausted

Thinking of you @Gypsy7.
Try and keep your chin up while you work through the legal and health services in QLD. Hopefully you'll be reunited with your kids soon.
All the best.
