How do I reconcile these tears
Tears of rage, tears of pain
They twist and turn
Like the sharpest of knives
Until all that's left is a bloody mess inside
A mind once strong and sharp
Now weary with the mighty fight
Can no longer think
What is good or bad
To live or die in equal measures
Is asking the unquestionable
To live, to truly live is joy and light and love abounding
True, there are pains to bear
And losses to mourn
But a lived live can carry these mortal wounds
And forge again a life worthwhile
rejoicing in the rich complexities of life
Finding meaning in adversity
And dancing in the summer rains
So come, unburden that wearied mind
Dump your troubles off your laden shoulders
And walk forward with your face
To the cold, harsh winter wind
Challenge it to knock you off your feet,
All the while you're laughing
At its audacity and nerve
You know you have to walk this struggle,
How? You have yet to learn these ways
But take my hand firm and strong
And together we'll a find the answer
With your strength and my bravery

@outlander thanks lil Sis. It was actually written last Dec. I haven't written much this year. I publish on a website under a different name to my own

So that you all know
that truth and the lies are entwined
wound up in the same binding
You said you do not judge my life
But yet I sense a sadness in your eyes
there's lacklustre in your gaze
and a pervasive thrum is felt
a disharmony of a lower chord
Out of tune and time
this state of being
is not over yet
there's such a painful presence
with this severe loss
A division of love
ranks divided
swords drawn and ready
lest there be a fight
Instead we take flight
on magical wings
that take us away
way up above
the thunderous clouds
where we can take refuge
And yet we can see below
no fear from this vantage point
just time to collect our thoughts
and reflect on a journey yet told
Who and what is left at the end of this day
