I think it is a possibility for others on this forum to meet in 'real' time. It's like reality really there are safeguards, boundaries and being aware of personal/emotional and physical safety. Perhaps management of Sane Forums will discuss that when and if the option of contacting each other here develops.
It is an anonymous site and forum. It in a way allows people to express and keep a level of confidentiality and I suppose dignity. I am not sure that opinion's are always welcome here on Sane Forums.
I have this debate with Facebook moderators , one video of an 11 yr old girl being harmed which distressed me but the moderators deemed it as acceptable as a 'community awareness' issue.
I had read that the community rules here on Sane Forums is to be aware of mentioning issues that 'trigger' others. Also do not mention 'suicide methods' tho I was merely enquiring about the topic and it was assumed I was seeking method detail. Also one user was not able to talk (am assuming in detail) about drug addiction.
I do stay within the community rules but I do feel restricted to express. In saying that there must be some level of boundary and guidelines of any organised situation where people meet online or offline.
Cheers for the virtual hugz...hope you feel a little better today with chronic pain Bella

Dear @Former-Member here is a poem from my youth, to make you feel a bit better, called 'Irish Lords by Charles Soutar' I want to go there one day ... if I ever go missing you can send out a search party to the township of Ivanhoe I will be there:
The barley grass was two feet high, the billabongs were full,
The brolgas danced a minuet, the world seemed made of wool,
The nights were never wearisome, the days were never slow,
When first I went to Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.
The frost was on the barley grass as we passed the homestead rails,
A darling jack ass piped us in, with his turns and trills and scales,
Youth and health and happiness, sat on the saddle bow,
And Mary lived at Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.
And everywhere was happiness, the fates were fair and kind,
We drank the very wine of life, we never looked behind,
And Mary, Mary everywhere, was flitting to and fro,
When first we went to Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.
The window on a leafy byre, where the golden banksia grew,
Stared like a dead man's glassy eye, for the roof had fallen through,
No flowers in her garden-bed, and her voice stilled long ago,
When last I went to Irish Lords, on the road to Ivanhoe.
This has been set to music by English folk singer Martyn Wyndham Read.
