Tantrum = fit ...although if that is right, I have an issue with the idea of a tantrum being called a fit.

Re: From Crosswords to Quizes - Brain teasers space!
I have referred to a tantrum as a hissy-fit before ...... cos my kids hated identifying with being hissy ..... so it got reduced to a tantrum being "hissy" ..... but it certainly doesn't work with the true medical definition of a fit @Phoenix_Rising.
I might look up the doc ionary definition of a Tantrum and see what it says ......

@Faith-and-Hope Hee hee, when I just started googling tantrum, it autofilled as the difference between a tantrum and a meltdown. You can tell the sorts of things I google. If anyone would like a lecture on the difference between a tantrum and a meltdown, I'm happy to oblige.

Here is the definition of Tantrum according to Google Dictionary ......
tantrum ˈtantrəm/Submit noun an uncontrolled outburst of anger and frustration, typically in a young child. "he has temper tantrums if he can't get his own way" synonyms: fit of temper, fit of rage, fit of pique, fit, outburst, flare-up, blow-up, pet, paroxysm, frenzy, bad mood, mood, huff, scene; informalpaddy, wax, wobbly; informalbate; informalblowout, hissy fit; shit fit "she throws a tantrum when she can't get the toy she wants"
Hahaha ..... haven't heard sh*t fit before .....

Re: From Crosswords to Quizes - Brain teasers space!
So for the purposes of the crossword, it seems that "fit" is probably right. I would still never ever refer to a child having a tantrum as having a fit. On the bright side, they didn't include "meltdown" as a synonym. The funny thing is, I've been accused of having a lot of those words that are listed, when now I know that what I am actually having when I exhibit that behaviour is a meltdown.
Anyway, back to the crossword...
