Really wobbly

Really wobbly

Any advice and suggestions about how to stay grounded and do self care much appreciated. I have some big stressors in my life right now. That combined with Bipolar 1 and Anxiety is really knocking me around. Trying to sell home as result of marriage breakdown, pay debts, find new home. My daughter (who is my main support) is leaving home (can't blame her). I have a young son to look after and I'm trying to protect him from the strain of the situation. All this is coming off the back of a mixed episode, which has recently been replaced by plumetting mood and skyrocketing anxiety. I am teary and on the verge of panic and need to talk myself down - there's noone else to do it. The future is scaring me.

Re: Really wobbly

@frog Hearing you on the lack of sleep contributing to a low mood. We can never underestimate how much our sleep patterns affect how we are feeling and you must be feeling a lot of pain if you haven't been able to sleep for the last couple of nights. Goodluck with the podiatrist - I hope it is only bruising and there is nothing chipped or broken. It sounds like you did a pretty good job of it Hon

Money worries are super hard. I have been struggling lately with the same thing - had to ask for a loan off my sister - luckily I don't have to pay her back straight away as I need to take Toby to the vet this week. Although I am back at work it will take me a couple of months to catch up so very much living pay to pay at the moment as well as off my credit card - not an ideal situation at all. I really feel for you Frog - money issues can cause us to doubt other things in our lives and certainly stops us doing some of those things we would like to do to help ourselves.

Hi @frog

Ouch! Funny, but NOT funny how things lead from one thing to another.

It hard balancing the drive for work (money, reliabilty and anthying it entails) and the need for self care and replenishment.

If your pdoc has suggested you sleep when you need it he is probably looking out for you and does not want things to get to burn out state.

Hope things get better soon.

Sending warm wishes @frog . Hope the podiatrist was helpful and that you've had some more rest by now. Sorry I've not been around much lately.

Re: Really wobbly

Hi friends. Thanks for your concern. Hope you are all travelling ok this evening.

@Zoe7 @eth podiatrist was mixed. He cut the nail really short and I nearly passed out. But today it is better. He also wanted me to have an xray, but money won't stretch so I'm just adopting wait-and-see on that.

Took medication to get some zzzs and it worked pretty well. I was not too groggy this morning - it sometimes has that effect.

Never need to apologise eth I come and go from the forum depending what's happening. It's good to hear from you

@frog Hi frog so sorry to hear about your toe :(. Stupid toes are always causing grief. When I used to run they were always getting bruised .... my feet look like dancers feet from years of running :P. I hope yours is just bruised (I know that hurts like hell though :().
