Birdy Song Birdy Dance

Birdy Song Birdy Dance

Anyone remember this from your childhood? Unrelated but it seemed like a good name for this thread 🙂 .

There have been some comments about peoples feathered friends recently so in addition to the Dogs Rock 😆 thread piqued my interest around everyones feathered friends (if you have any).

In our house we have 2 budgies and 2 cockatiels. they all used to come out an fly around the house but for numerous reasons have not been out now for a long time. All happy little critters though and we enjoy their singing.

Oldest budgie is now over 12 years old, my darling raised him from a chick.

You can buy one of those Blue & Gold Macaws from the Bird Shop -

- only if you have a spare $17000.....

Re: Birdy Song Birdy Dance

Hi @Former-Member No that is correct.

$17K or $17000.

Someone is buying them at that price - that's the going rate.

I don't know how they can afford it.

Macaws (originally from South America) are available, but very expensive @Shaz51 @Former-Member

Australians cannot import birds into the country (generally) - so it's only birds that have been bred here, that you can buy.

Macaws make excellent pets (apparently) - if you can pay that much $$ for one.

Cheep Cheep (Pun intended) @Former-Member

That's just what my baby Java finches are doing (in nest).

Their cute little faces poking out through the nest box hole.

One almost fell out, because of being over-curious about what was happening outside the nest.
