I'm struggling at the moment, and I have just come from living by myself to living temporarily with family. I haven't been working and in particular feel im struggling without work. I exercise, read and see a case worker/doctor. I see a few people, not very often. I want to develop more relationships and am finding that hard.
Does anyone know of q good job service in Melbourne? Or other suggestions?
I find it really hard to develop relationships as well. It's like you want to be social but then your put in that situation and argh.
For me I am personally pushing myself to be more social. I make myself hang out with people. I've noticed people like it when you show actual interest in them. So I always ask what you got planned for the rest of the week and next time I see them I ask how a certain event went they had planed. Seems to help keep conversation going and really get to know the person. For me opening up to them and building thy connection I got zero clue.
I would try seek and apply for jobs that way. Also if you start looking into it you will start to see employment agencies helping to try employers for certain business. I would also recommend you volunteer. Would look good on a resume that you have kept active during your non employment time.

Hi Jamesle2015, I have done admin and customer service. I've had a work break and looking for these kind of roles, but I'm finding that the gap is affecting finding a job. Thanks

Hi @Mountbeauty, have you thought about studying? Education always looks great on a resume and it helps keeps your skills current.

Re: Work/relationships
I can understand how you feel, as I have "gaps" on my resume also. I am starting studies Monday and hopefully this will lead me on a path towards University where I want to study Social Work. I am hoping by going into a completely different field (my last job was working in a laboratory as a gopher), I can explain away my hiatus in my career path.
