How's today been for @everyone?

Were there any good moments, even if it was mostly not good?

Hi @Mazarita 👋

still up for awhile at least. How are you going?

Hi @Former-Member

I was tired all during the day but am wide awake now. Best thing about today was seeing my psychiatrist. Good session.

How about you?

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

@Mazarita Very annoying when that happens. Glad your pdoc appointment went well. Mine works on a Saturday too!!

I am ok thanks, just not wanting to sleep tonight.

Any plans for tomorrow?

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

@Former-Member, yeah I always see him on Saturdays. My companion (C) drives me then, as it's not a work day. Hard to get to by public transport, so appreciate that the psychiatrist is available then.

Yeah, I don't much feel like sleeping yet either. Sometimes I rebel against going to bed early on Saturday nights. I used to be such a party girl, lol.

Tomorrow, I am hoping to get out for a low tide walk on the beach in the late arvo. And do some washing.

Do you have anything on tomorrow?

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

@Mazarita Well that is good you have someone to drive you there. I just like going on a Saturday because there is less traffic to deal with.

A walk along the beach sounds nice especially at low tide.

Will probably do something with my kids and hubby. Get them out of the house. I find it easier to go out if hubby is there, my anxiety doesn’t play up as much. Will be glad when they are back at school.

Sounds good, @Former-Member, with getting the kids out, and having hubby to support you so the anxiety lessens for you. I have some trouble with anxiety out of the flat too. Things are pretty good just now (this past week). But before that I was spending way too much time inside.

I can imagine it would be a relief to have the kids back at school so there is not so much demand on you, while dealing with MI.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

@Mazarita They are a bit too young to know so trying to keep lots from them. So hard to keep that front up whilst they are around. So a lot of times home these holidays. But they have been good and haven’t complained too much.

I am glad things seem to be going better for you this past week. Anxiety is hard to deal with especially out in public and around people that don’t understand it.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

It must be hard having to keep up a strong 'front' in your own home, @Former-Member. It's really good that, as much as possible, you are thinking of them, protecting them from being affected. They sound like good kids, not complaining too much about being home a lot during holidays.

Yes, I've been socially anxious since early childhood. I too have developed ways of putting up a 'front' when I'm socialising. But, as you know, it can be exhausting bubbling inside with nerves while trying to appear calm and together on the surface. Still, they say, 'fake it 'til you make it'. And I think there's something in that.
