I staye the night at mums house which is alittle unnerving and comfortable but they left at 5am this morning so i didnt want to have to get up super early. Its their aniversary today and have organised a few things so ill have the kids today. Its suppose to be a scorcher so im thinking maybe hire some new release movies like the cars3 and the new diary of a whimpy kid and chill in the air con but ill ask mum for her house keys do that they have access to their rooms and toys so they wont get so bored.

How are you? Do you have any plans for today? Hows the school holidays treating you?

I'm sitting at my coffee spot thoroughly enjoying the peace @outlander! I read that you are with your pop on your own now. That's a big change!

Inside movies sounds like a great plan. We've done a bit of that over the last couple of days. We were away for about a week and they're enjoying being home and playing with some Christmas presents now.

Today might be the last of our quiet home days for a little while. I should probably do some housework but maybe not 😛 it doesn't feel like they've been on holidays for long as they finished the Friday before Christmas and we headed straight off from there. It's been a blur but the last couple of quiet days have helped.

How about you? Will you have some you time over the holidays?

Yes a big change for sure @CheerBear it hasnt stopped the expectations or responsibilities but working on that slowly. Im just glad they finally moved out and are alot happier where they are.

Oh that sounds loveley. I bet they enjoyed their time away. I know you cant say much but was it nice and quiet and scenic or more city style?
Wow they let let the kids of late! Ours finished a week and abit before xmas so we are i think 3 weeks in now.

Lol nah housework is boring 😉 sounds like its been pretty hot where you are too. Its been strange weather where its hot but then rains and then goes muggy. Atm the breeze is cool but its only 8am and its forecast for 37 i think the last i checked.

Um im not sure about me time. I kinda fit it in as i go. I did have a day to myself where work was quiet and pop was away for a few days so that was good. Atm work is really flat out cause of holidays so just need to survive the next 2 or so weeks then it settles abit as a few aggistees return from holidays so take the pressure off. And pop has a few upcoming things so not much time off here but maybe ill get a day or so once the kids go back to school as then theres also that routine back as well

You time is something that's tricky for you to get when you have so much on @outlander. Good to hear you're getting little bits as you can though. I've caught bits here and there and it seems like you've taken some great steps. Even if it doesn't always feel like it, those little steps all add up! ☺

We were pretty out bush which was nice (they get to run a bit wild). It was funny coming home and really noticing how busy and loud it can be here. And how much the smell of the neighbourhood is different. Very multicultural here and all the smells of all of different foods that are cooking waft from morning (I smell a bakery really early) until dinner!

It's been hot and cold here. We haven't had hot hot for a little while but it will come back. 37 is a bit melty :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Hope you enjoy your movies. Not sure about Cars but mine like Diary of a Whimpy Kid. We watched SpiceWorld yesterday. Now there's a good movie 😁! Trolls made it's way into the lounge room for the 50 bajillionth time too.

Oh yes it can be an eye opener cant it. We are semi rural borderline city and country. We often travel south and stay at a beach hut and its so peaceful but holidays are often busy but the atmospheres really different which makes it enjoyable.
