Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Is a simple recipe @outlander. And the good thing is that once you learn how to make it, you can swap ingredients around.
Ilearnt how to make it from my mum but our fried rice are very different from each others.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Hi @outlander

Am enjoying the cool evening breeze after a hot, muggy day. Very refreshing. @utopia - yum, fried rice. Would love the recipe if you have the time. Do you use egg in yours? I have been so busy today, I haven't had time to cook! I am dreaming of fried rice, I am starving lol.

Fried Rice Recipe -Utopia's version
Cook chopped bacon (6 rashes) Set aside.
Cook chopped onions (2 medium sized). Set aside.
4eggs - whisked - fried. Set aside.
1 & 1/2 cups of rice. Cook and set aside.
In a wok - place oil - heat and add
1 tablespoon chicken stock powder
1 tablespoon curry powder.
Stir.
Add in
1 cup peas
1 cup corn kernels
Stir.
Add in rice.
Toss and stir until rice has absorbed spices and changed colour. Yellow.
Add eggs, onion & bacon.
Stir.
Keep stiring, making sure rice doesn't stick to bottom of wok.
Serve.
Alternatives.
Sometimes I chop and cook some salami to add to the bacon. Extra tasty.
Capsicum - fried up like the onions is deliscious.
Experiment with spices and ingredients.
Maybe try chicken instead of bacon. Or add other vegetables and try the vegetarian option.
Enjoy.

@Former-Member & @outlander.
Error.
