Hi @embers the respite isn't in the hospital. It is a private home run by ARAFMI (Association of relatives and friends of the mentally ill). There are no doctors or nurses, rather a trained support worker who is there 24/7 should the need arise. We make our own breakfast, lunch and snacks and dinner is prepared for us by the support worker. Last time I went the house had a pool, cinema room and art studio. This house doesn't have that but does have a pool table and Playstation 4 plus art and craft stuff, so I'll be set. It is also not far from the biggest shopping centre around for miles in case I need retail therapy hahaha!
@outlander how do you feel about your diagnosis of BPD? My Mrs has it, so I understand a bit about it actually. She said the diagnosis was helpful in that it finally validated all she has been feeling and experiencing, but at the same time, wasn't helpful in that mental health services for people with the disorder are limited.
