Trust broken

Trust broken

Well just as i thought it was safe to trust. They've disapeared. No warning. It takes me a very long time to trust, really trust someone. But it always ends up this way. I feel so very angry with them, but i have no idea where they have moved to. Its like it was just a whole pack of lies. I feel guilty. Did i bother them too much with my problems?

To top it off i found out today I only have two free sessions with my psychologist, then i have to pay upfront untill november. Not happy , angry, frustrated, disapointed sadness grief. Doors are slamming shut again, after only just opening.

Re: Trust broken

Hi @Chris
I know how hard it is to trust. I cant do it very well, though for some reason its easier here on the forums. I'm sorry you've had that trust broken again, there may be more to their story that isnt about you, or they could have been having difficulties with trust themselves. Sometimes when i do open myself up, i turn and run afterwards, catch my breath and try to come back again... doesnt even make sense to me!
I have almost used up my medicare sessions for the year with my psychologist i think too, it makes it tough 😞 here iwth you, and hoping you know that the door here is always wide open.

Hi @Chris

I too am sorry your trust was broken once again as it's not easy to open that door. Like @Former-Member said, their moving away may not have been about you. Would you like to talk about what happened? Sending you warm hugs xx You can trust us

Re: Trust broken

Hi there @Chris

I am sorry to hear about the person who disappeared, are they okay did something happen for them to disappear like that? It seems like there might be more going on for them, perhaps they will speak to you about it down the track, it can be really challenging to not take these things personally, especially when you are possibly feeling a bit vulnerable as you have just found out you have those 2 sessions left with your psychologist.

I would definitely explain to them your financial circumstances and that you really need those extra sessions or if they could help you out with finding extra support that is low cost, usually they can help you out with this you just might need to push them with that.

There is also Wellways and Neami that provide free support, perhaos give them a call too?

Neami provides a wide range of mental health and wellbeing services in different parts of Australia using the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) to assist consumers build confidence and skills:

Re: Trust broken

In the first conversation, they thanked me for trusting them and opening up. I appreciated that, infact it meant alot. Over the next few days i opened up even more. There was no mention of them moving. It was only when the email bounced back as no a valid address that i realised something was wrong. I made a phone call and that confirmed they had moved, but no forwarding adress. I feel like an idiot. I thought they really cared. But its the same old story. Let someone in close and it ends the same way. Me getting hurt. Well no more. Ive had enough. Ill stick to telling my cat my troubles. At least i get warm cuddles from him.

Im dropping therapy for a while. Cant cope with any more.
