The great yoga adventure

The great yoga adventure

Hi all,

So...somehow I seem to have made myself a deal with @CheerBear that we are both going to venture into the super scary world of yoga next Monday. I'm SCARED!!!! I've been trying to psych myself up to go to a class for about a year and now thanks to a pesky little care bear, it seems like it is going to happen next Monday.

I have my mat and my outfit (and thanks to @Former-Member and @Former-Member I know to wear underpants under yoga pants ). Now I just need to find some courage. Hmmm...courage...I'm sure I have some here SOMEWHERE in my shell...

Only six sleeps away. This sounds way too close. Yep, this little turtle is going to need to do some serious psyching up before next Monday!!! All encouragement is warmly welcome.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Hi all,

I have pretty much missed this entire tree week! I've been so busy, so that means I should have taken some self-care time for myself and become a tree for a few minutes.

It sounds like a good idea for me, so I might do that tonight.

I treed last night!! I also tried to get Elsie to tree, but she didn't quite understand, maybe tonight 🙂

Off to yoga again. Tonight's session is called Candlelight Flow. Sounds nice, doesn't it? Hope it is.

Tonight's session was a bit longer than usual. It went for an hour and a half. As the name implied, there were candles but most of them were those fake ones. I guess they didn't want to risk the possibility of the place burning down.

We did lots of tree poses. In fact, we held them for such a long time that I thought I might actually flower and bear fruit. There were a few times I had to put my foot down for fear of toppling over. We also did series of poses that were repeated several times over.

Tomorrow may have to be a rest day as there is a special workshop for two of the sessions and the other classes are a pregnancy one and a rather active one. I could go to one of the other two studios but I probably shouldn't over do it.

@Phoenix_Rising@CheerBear - you've created a yoga monster in me.

Good evening everybody,

I hope everyone managed to tree today. @soul I super like the idea of doing Warrior pose next week. It's like...by Monday we will have grown our forest and then we can fill it up with warriors.

@Former-Member I super hope you will join us to be a warrior next week. I think you and @Former-Member should be warriors together in the help centre.

@Former-Member You will definitely earn bonus points if you can get Elsie to tree over the weekend!

@Former-Member are you going to join the great yoga adventure? I imagine a mermaid requires quite a strong core to get that tail moving.

@soul You made me laugh a LOT when you said you held the tree pose for so long you thought you might flower and bear fruit.

Two days left of the be-a-tree-everyday-for-a-week challenge...and then it sounds like we are moving onto being warriors. @Ant7 does this mean we will be warrioring? Can anyone actually say that...cos I can't!

We did warrior poses too tonight. And a baby pose where you lay on your back and grab your feet.

Well I have finally treed but oh so wobbly. Blowing in the wind maybe. Do you really do this every day @Phoenix_Rising??????

Re: The great yoga adventure

I barely remembered to tree yesterday. Only did it right before going to bed, after I'd already turned the lights off. And was so tired that it was the worst treeing I've ever done. Never really had major problems with wobbling until last night, but I'm just going to chalk that up to a bad tree day.
