The great yoga adventure

Hi all,

So...somehow I seem to have made myself a deal with @CheerBear that we are both going to venture into the super scary world of yoga next Monday. I'm SCARED!!!! I've been trying to psych myself up to go to a class for about a year and now thanks to a pesky little care bear, it seems like it is going to happen next Monday.

I have my mat and my outfit (and thanks to @Former-Member and @Former-Member I know to wear underpants under yoga pants ). Now I just need to find some courage. Hmmm...courage...I'm sure I have some here SOMEWHERE in my shell...

Only six sleeps away. This sounds way too close. Yep, this little turtle is going to need to do some serious psyching up before next Monday!!! All encouragement is warmly welcome.

I had my yoga class today, and was the only person in the class But it was relaxing anyway and the teacher took it easy on me as I'm still kinda all over the place from my virus.

Honestly, it felt like I was in a fishbowl, I couldn't get away with anything. She had her eye on me all class hehe.

@Former-Member Oooh a private yoga lesson would be super cool.

@soul I tend to use the beginner videos on the website focused on strengthening my back as I have some back issues. I'm really pretty clueless about the whole yoga adventure, but I do at least know some of the terminology from having messed around at home with this website.

@Former-Member - the only one in a whole class?!!! That sounds almost harder to me than being in a huge class 😕

I was going to go to another class this morning but couldn't reschedule an appointment with my mental health worker so now I have to wait until Monday again. I'm looking forward to it already.

I really like Yin I am not very good at it but I find it very relaxing. What is everyone's favourite type of Yoga?
