@soul - Kelly is trained to help with panic/anxiety attacks and to wake me from nightmares. Poor thing has been working overtime these past few months - and more particularly this week. She is an awesome dog and so totally focussed on me and my needs even if she is outside and I am inside. I have an expression I use a lot when frustrated - FFS - and if she hears that she comes running. Or if I start typing hard on the keys. But a lot of the time she will just come and place her snout on my lap just to check in 🙂

That is so incredibly sweet @darwinemma. My dog is much the same. She sleeps on my bed at night and many a time was a comfort to me when I was struggling.

That is a wonderful help to have @darwinemma, you can seen the espression of love when she is looking at you as you take that photo.

I have seen an assistane dog in action wiht an autistic boy that used to go to school with my son, he was invaluable. Dogs just have huge hearts thats why they are so good as assistance companions.

Earlier this year when I was under a lot of stress and quite emotional my boy (who is not an assistance dog) came over 2 baracedes into the house (he is not an inside dog as my darling wife is ocd about the house being clean) and lay beside me while I was alseep on the couch.

He has never done it before or agin as he is usually happy to be outside. (If he was inside he may miss sonthing exciting lol) - point being I think dogs have a natural instinct. What people are able to do to train them to help people like yourself is amazing and life changing.
