Something’s not right

Not in a good way

Not in a good way

Need to spill my guts tonight, had a bad week and today a bad day,had car trouble today and got two new tyres on which I paid 60 dollars more for than what I was quoted on the phone.Told the guy on payment, whose wife gave me the quote on the phone, that the quote was 220 not 250 per tyre what I paid, whose excuse was that I told her I paid 280 for the tyre two years ago.To me, that's no excuse for the price change. He then ignored it and gave me a bundle of business cards to distribute.I SMS him when I got home saying I wasn't happy that the price wasn't the quote given.Accused me of being a lier and I didn't hear right.I did hear right told him the rang me back and heard and I clarified the price of 220 and I told him don't like being deceived. He then sent abusive texts,my last to him was warning him I'd have to tell the Police which stopped him since thank God.I said it was a poor way of dealing with a customer complaint, putting it back on the customer,he claimed I was pulling a stunt.I paid the money, but it's the principal of it to me.My car nearly blew up as well, had a service this week which the mechanic didn't put a part on properly, which my car lost the oil. They said I was lucky. The mechanic apologized.I told him not to worry because I know he is one who cares and the fact that he payed for the damage shows that.Am I overreacting with the tyres?I don't think so I just like to know a quote is a quote.Tonight I am stressed and didn't need today, spent the last two days in bed due to severe distressed due to depression affecting hormones.Had to chat with lifeline last night due to not knowing what to do with myself.Didn't need the tyre bloke tonight with his abusive she's.As well my elderly mother is failing everyday, that is too much pressure.

That really sucks that he ripped you off like that @Former-Member.

It's always stressful when stuff like that goes wrong, and the last thing you needed was that guy causing extra problems.

Do you have anything nice planned for yourself as a way to burn off some of the stressful stuff and reward you for getting through the week?

Thanks TheVorticon

Off my face last night, had to write because I was highly strung, just told outlander on her thread.Never had that problem before, always rang and got a quote for tyres and paid that amount. His reaction was disturbing, accused me of trying to pull "a stunt".I paid the amount when I could've refused but knew I had to pay it as it was still behind a chain in his shed.I think I hit a nerve but, just said to outlander the sad part is he is either 1.covering up for his wife who told me the amount then rang back after looking on the internet for another brand which she said was 220 as well.220 was well clarified in the two phone calls. He accused me of "not hearing right".2.More likely the fact that she lied to him because I KNOW I am right. His first response to my complaint was because I told her that's a good price because I paid 280 the year before last for 2.

It's not the 250 it's the fact that they quoted 220 and ignored that on completion of service. Then the b***** accused me of "pulling a stunt".I don't think I'm the one pulling the stunt, including the hide of handling me a heap of business cards after ignoring my complaint.

I don't know TheVorticon,I have kept his texts in case, worried he will damage my car if he sees it parked around town.It was disturbing, and I didn't need it.I half surmise he was on the grog when he sent those texts.I simply wanted good customer service with the agreed price for doing the job.It was deception.

Haven't had a good week hit a wallaby or something in the dark the night before the car service, didn't see what it was, cracked my front bumper a bit, been in bed two days due to emotional distress and depression, didn't need yesterday, with the worry of car losing oil ,or the w***** with the tyres.Worried, about myself last nighteven taking a calmative didn't work.Took me a long time to calm down.

Re: Not in a good way

As I said when he kept sending them outlander,he showed me there is something seriously wrong and for him to react like that I wonder if I hit a nerve.
