Something’s not right

-Enigma-

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Sorry for the late reply @outlander - had to log off for awhile. It's the same situation with my daughter and what I know I have to do. And it's soo hard, but I have no choice. It's even effecting my husband - he is usually such an upbeat person, but even he is feeling defeated by it. It's just so soul destroying for a mother to have to put her own daughter out by necessity, and worry if she will have anywhere to go 😥.

Sorry to hear about your husbands heart attack even if it was mild.

Walking with you re your journey with your daughter. Maybe I will get hints one day for mine. Be firm. Be strong. Keep clear love.

I have been away from the forum for a week doing some professional development with my son. My son and I have worked very hard and travelled across town every day at dawn. I am so proud of him for the effort and achievement.

I cannot say what it was but he mingled with many young teachers and some old and it was wonderful and creative ... and he earned his certificate. We still have many hurdles, but I was so cross when an old lady who had tickets on herself as his mentor and made far too many generalisations about him ,,,, it was more her own laziness in confronting her own bias and assumptions (the American writer lady I had troubles with a few years ago) We may have avoided the whole shemozzle of last 8 months if she had been able to learn ...and be decent ,,, but she was rigid and always right and Knew everything.

She told me my son cant finish something. I knew he could be tough on himself and folloiw through and HE DID. He stretched himself in many ways. Proud mum. Anyway I found a new, better educated and attuned American old lady and he gained good skills. So all good in that arena..

Take care ALL

Hi @Former-Member

How are you my beautiful friend?

Hi @Appleblossom@oceangirl@Former-Member@outlander@Adge@BlueBay

How are you all? Thank you for your supportive posts - I really appreciate your care and kindness.

I have been extremely busy sorting some very serious matters out with authorities; supporting my best friend whose husband now only has a matter of weeks; my daughter's issues which are really starting to sort themselves out ☺️; my volunteer work and organising the build of my new home and selling my present one. I am exhausted but feeling much better 😊

I had it out with my daughter - she has now stopped seeing the abusive boyfriend, is abstaining from all her bad habits and has just landed a new job! She has the occasional mood but I give her space as she is really trying. She said she appreciates now what myself and her father have been trying to do for her all these years. Finally 😀. It's a big step in the right direction.

My husbands appt and subsequent heart function tests have given him the "all clear". The specialist stated it was a medication he was on that was causing the chest pains etc so he has modified it. Another good outcome 👍.

So things are looking up here - how is all going for you?

@Appleblossom - I loved your post and so appreciated it. Great news regarding your son - you know what someone does when they are told they can't finish something or not up to the task - it makes them more determined to succeed. Good on your son! How can he go wrong with such a wonderful mother. Keep sticking to your guns with love (sometimes tough love), as although our children can give us grief at times our unconditional love and boundaries set will win out in the end. I thought all was lost there for a bit with my daughter, but my efforts has really paid off. It does get better and the sun can shine again. Don't give up.

@Former-Member - I hope things have settled for you. I know how hard it can get and how difficult it can be to talk about. But here if you ever want to.

@oceangirl - so lovely to here from you - how are the studies going?

@outlander - thanks for being such a wonderful person who warms the very essence of my heart. I hope you are going alright

@Former-Member - how did the appt at the specialist go on Tuesday? How are you now? Have been thinking of you ❤️

@Adge - hope you are travelling okay - I always get a lift when reading a post from you.

@BlueBay - I hope things in your life have smoothed out a little and giving you a chance to breathe and smile. It's nice when life gives us a bit of a break.

Sending you all a big hug - even though I am not on here much anymore I am always thinking of you all. Life has its obstacles and can throw some curveballs but it is so, so precious

Re: -Enigma-

I'm struggling a bit here @Former-Member. My dad recently got diagnosed with dementia.

Re: -Enigma-

Oh no @oceangirl - so sorry to read this 😢. At what stage is the Dementia at? I have heard there are some new treatments available now that can make a difference and slow the progress significantly. I wish I could be there for you right now. I would give you a big hug. Here if you want to talk about it my dear friend ❤️
