Can't stop crying

Haven't been on the Forum for awhile. Have been very busy with choirs, going to concerts, preparing for a bigconcert muyself.

Watching the news today, I saw a report on Equine Assisted Interventions. I knew about this form of therapy; a friend of mine hosts training psychologists on his property. Yet, upon seeing it on the news and hearing it helped victims of sexual abuse, I simply lost the plot. I can't stop crying. All strategies I know are good for a few minutes and the flood gates open again. Perhaps I just need to let it flow.

Hi @Ffm48 - i read that article as well and wondered if anything would ever help me? no matter what type of therapy.
I'm sorry strategies arent helping you at the moment for long. here caring that things are so tough right now, hope it improves soonfor you

Thank you @Shaz, @Former-Member for your kind words. I don't think reading the article would have worried me that much. It was seeing the report, hearing the women talk about their pain over the past 60 odd years, just triggered the pain again. No lisajane, we never "get over" the pain - we learn to manage it. Evidently, sometimes a trigger can become overwhelming.

Tomorrow, I'm going to a concert and on Sunday to a rehearsal. Singing always lifts the spirit. But today, today I can't sing.

I'll be getting moderately dressed up for the concert tomorrow and there is a group of us going.Not getting dressed up for the rehearsal, but I do have to get out and drive into town ... and the landscape is so picturesque ... it's a beautiful drive.

Yep, it's a beautiful part of the country. Was chasing rainbows today.

Feeling much better today. Singing just always lift the spirit; have just had an intensive workout.
