Full throttle, crash & burn?

Full throttle, crash & burn?

Hello All,

I've had a good week, probably from Tuesday to yesterday, a full 3 days, woohoo!!! I've been busy busy busy and up and around and feeling good.

Today is a slow day. I have some projects at home. The thinking machine is starting to gain momentum and I can feel like I am starting to crash, it's not slowing down, it's crash & burn.

I feel like last weekend, let's curl up and hide, forgetting the bad thoughts. I tried to do what I was told to do to make me feel better, even this morning. But it doesn't help.

Don't you just hate knowing it's happening and doing everything in your power to slow it but your happy things are not working.

Fingers cross it won't be as bad as you think. Sometimes you think the crash is going to be massive but it can be half the size.

Re: Full throttle, crash & burn?

Thanks 😊 I'll try my best.

They always ask me if I can identify a trigger. Having too much time on my hands is one of them. Then I had two trigger events today and the general feeling of being absolutely and utterly useless when I'm at home and feeling overwhelmed that no matter how little the task, I will not finish - and that's something my husband has mentioned, not in a bad way, but mentioned, and it makes me feel even more inadequate.

I'm going to bed now and hopefully sleep some of the frustration off.

I'm also wondering if my withdrawal cycles? I'm still not off one of the meds completely, but have drastically reduced from 20 to 7.5 a day in, thinking about it, probably only 3 weeks? And here I go and get upset about the meds...

And then I get told to say "thanks mind"...

F* off mind is more what I have in mind haha 😫

Good night, there's no more sense coming out of flower at this stage...

ANGRY!!!!!!!!

Time is the worst. Time should be the best thing for us but no it can be a nightmare.

Fully sucks when a few triggers go off and you feel overwhelmed and your head starts spinning. I've had those days where I can't do the simple task and that even makes me feel more small.

How good is sleep!! Especially if you have a nice dream or get the perfect amount of hours. Also yay for pillows lol.

Man I hate coming off meds. It's the worst!!! My biggest pet hate is when the doctor says how you feeling and you explain it and he's like that's not a symptom of withdrawal on that medication but you go on a support page and tons of people complain about the same thing.

Fingers cross you feel better soon and wake up and go yay it's out of my system.

Hope your not feeling as angry but if you want to yell complain scream I'm your friend for that lol.

Good morning @Former-Member

yeah its when the cat meow turns into lion roars (completely out of control, let's say, other male in his area - roar), that's my angry. I have a list of withdrawal symptoms, I guess that could fall under "irritability", though I have to say, anger has always been an issue with me - when I expressed it as a child and teenager I did not get shown the way to cope with anger (my way was not acceptable), so now anger mainly focusses on myself and roaring against myself.

How are you doing? Anything nice for the weekend?

I went to a party and actually did really well, considering the noise and the amount of people there. I think it is all in the head (haha), thinking I will not be able to cope, because I've been bad for a while, but I actually had fun. I wish my brain would count the good experiences, as well as it can remember the bad...

I try not to google too much about meds and withdrawals, if it works for a while, good, then I will just have to put up with it. Like the one I'm coming off now. Helped really well, but is highly additctive, so now I have to cope with the withdrawals, and I want to withdraw from it, as I had to keep increasing the dose. Worked a treat for a year and a bit, but time to give my system a break. Normally when I come with a list of withdrawals, my doc confirms most of them.

Re: Full throttle, crash & burn?

@Former-Member I fully understand about the anger. When I got angry it was not acceptable childish behaviour playing the victim and my fault. I was actually put into therapy at a young age to deal with it. Never occurred to my mother I was angry as I was living in an abusive home and lived on the line of poverty while her and her friends and asshole bf partied away and I hate pasta just pasta. But I did learn to count to three before I flip out or think what will the outcome be. Will I feel better after it. But I'm re learning it's ok to roar at times.

My weekend was just work and getting yelled at angry customers and talked at not to. All the ladies I worked with where on the verge of tears and had enough and these ladies are older and younger then me and I'm thinking ok well at least I'm not the only one falling apart.

That's awsome you went to a party and had a great time. Dam our head can be annoying. I find I live in fear of getting sick. Do you feel like that? Like you let your illness run your life? I'm trying to find a healthy balance. But it's hard because sometimes you think you will be great and it turns out to be hell or like you thinking it might be hard but ended up having a great time. I think for me in the end I'm going to take more risks and socialise because I define my life not my bipolar.

Your the opposite to me. I'm a control freak and like to know exactly what's going to happen. That's good your giving your self a break from the meds and that they actually work. I think it's good to free our body from all the meds we take. Try get the body balanced.

That's good your doctor confirms them. Mine is like static ain't a withdrawal of this med. Um yes it is!!!

Much planed for the week?
