Hi I'm new to forums..

Hi I'm new to forums..

Last night I used the LifeLife texting service for the first time after an overwhelming breakdown. I guess I'm just reaching out so I don't feel so alone. I'm currently taking anti anixety meds but next week need to discuss other options for what I think is some sort of depression. So hi!

Do you guys find it weird how our brain works?. Like how do some of us get like this? I feel a part of me had a predisposition. I was always super shy, nervous etc. And then as an adult, after childbirth, marriage breakdown etc it just kinda goes "Boom"?!? I hope I'm making sense!!!??.

I don't get it at all. I was a super shy kid. Then I became super confident. All through teens and early twenties, mid twenties. Then BOOM 30 and I'm anxious and depressed and can't cope with anything. So I don't know? I don't know how it happens @Ripley

Hello @shazz51 yes, after digging around I have since found out a history of mental illness within our family, specifically with the females. My mother, Grandmother and great grandmother all had mental illness. My great grandmother was actually institutionalised a long long time ago...which I think was common back then with little understanding.
